The Wild Retreat

I spent 2 nights with my son at the wild retreat. Our room was very spacious and clean with plenty of toiletries. We also had a great balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend 😃

The facility was peaceful and well kept. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. The chef made dishes off of the menu for us as more strict vegetarians. It was a very nice retreat with beautiful birds out our front door and hill views out our back door. Would highly recommend!

We just visited Wild Retreat. It is one of the best hotels in Kumbhalgarh in terms of peaceful environment, infrastructure, rooms, meals and lastly service. This is also one of the oldest property approx. 14 years old but it is still well managed property. Pool Villas are the best rooms having valley View. Resort has infinity pool as well. Kids play area, amphitheater, open space for group DJ arrangement. Thank you Shambhu Sir for your extended support throughout our stay. Everybody is working at his best like Ajay, Himmat, Chandrajeet, Sohan, Dushyant and entire staff of TWR. Strongly recommended...!!! You will be gonna love this property for sure...!!!

Very nicely made with excellent view of the mountains from all angles ... Rooms are huge and very comfortable. The food was very nice. Staff was very nice. I would love to visit again. Caution .. it's not senior citizens friendly ...lots of ups n downs. And the road to this place from udaipur was all under construction so the journey was a bit rough

We stayed in this lovely nature resort for 2 nights in Superior Valley View cottage.The rooms are spacious and made of stone with wonderful views of Kumbhalgarh valley. Waking up to the spectacular sunrise in the wooded hills, enjoying the cultural dance program with live bonfire in the chilly evenings arranged by the hotel, the helpful and empathetic staffs specially Jhalom Singh , Bhanwar Singh and personalised service by Lokesh ji at the restaurant made our stay one of the best in recent years. If you wish to enjoy the solitude and the unspoiled beauty of nature, you must visit this place!

With a couple of caveats I can recommend the Wild Retreat as a pleasant but not overly luxurious place to stay. Room: we had a cottage with a splendid view of the valley. The room was spacious and reasonably attractive. There were ample electrical outlets, but the one next to my bed didn't work. The bed was large and comfortable and the shower was fantastic. Unfortunately, Wifi was spotty at best. Location: great location for visiting the fort. Situated high on a hilltop, the view was great.  Staff: very gracious and friendly. We came on a festival day and were the only guests in the entire place! The staff very kindly invited us to their informal festival celebration, which was a highlight of our stay. Food: breakfast was fine; fruit, cereal, juice, eggs, etc. Dinner (included) was awful. We made the mistake of agreeing to "chef's choice", which ended up being a brave but misguided foray into psuedo-Western cuisine. I imagine the Indian dishes would have been better, and I regret not having ordered one.
