Posto incantevole, immerso in una natura spettacolare. L'atmosfera è ovattata, rilassante e accogliente. La struttura molto bella, con qualche piccolo particolare che potrebbe essere ancora migliorato. La nostra suite (AAMBAL) molto bella, con piccola piscina, vista lago, immersa in una pace assoluta. Tutto il personale merita una menzione speciale, per l'attenzione, la cortesia e la professionalità. Per alcuni una menzione particolare: tutto il personale della reception, attento ai nostri bisogni e custode delle nostre dimenticanze! Athul, responsabile dei servizi SPA, con i due professionisti, Shilba e Binu che per giorni si sono presi cura delle nostre esigenze. Al ristorante, dove tutti i camerieri meritano un plauso per efficienza e impegno ma un particolare elogio va alla cucina ed al suo Executive Chef Arun Surendran. Siamo due viaggiatori frequenti, con una considerevole esperienza dell'India e della sua cucina speciale anche se molto speziata per i gusti occidentali. Per quattro giorni abbiamo avuto il privilegio di degustare i piatti tradizionali indiani e del Kerala (Allapey vegetable curry, Kadai Murg, Paneer do pyaza, Spice papad, Malabari Paratha, Vendakka pepper fry), preparati in modo eccellente, con un equilibrio e un gusto formidabili, anche per palati italiani, che non è poco! Davvero complimenti.

My family and I were on a 4 night package which involved 2 nights at the Lake resort, one night on the house boat and a night at their Forte Cochin property. And we have not been able to stop ranting about the exceptional service we were presented. At every step, we were made to feel like we were the only guests there, so much attention and one- one special treatment. And I can say that we noticed all guests were meted out the same treatment. It was an unforgettable experience for us and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every member of the staff there. Starting with Sreelakshmi who assisted us with the reception/ checking in to the concierge guy from Patna who helped us to transport our luggage. Sarat, the bakery chef hand held us through every meal and was so selflessly explaining some tips on his special sour dough eggless croissants (one never sees that with a world class chef). Saji the sous chef attended to every detail. A big thanks to Sarat and Saji who organised the Onam sadhya specially for us despite it not being on menu and we were still a few days away to Onam, the harvest festival. We only enquired about getting the Onam sadhya in Cochin and lo and behold – they organised it for us then and there. Kavi, who is the travel guide within the resort was truly an expert at everything one needed to know about the place and insisted we do the sunset cruise which was so beautiful accompanied by talented musicians who performed on the cruise. The houseboat was a surreal experience, a spic and span boat with an experienced crew transported us to another world entirely. Even the drivers Mahesh, James and Johnson took care of every detail for us and going out of their way to make our travel between the airport/ hotels comfortable. Last but not the least – the managers at both resorts Vishnu, Gerin and Sajish took extra care to make our stay enormously memorable. Sajish even took us around the 300 year old Forte Kochi property to explain some of the very old parts of the Dutch bunglow like the Jewish mikueh. I have never made the effort in any of my holidays to note the staff’s name because no one has ever gone that extra mile for me to even notice it. Here, every staff was strikingly helpful. All in all, we cant stop singing praises of the fabulous experience we had at KLR. I would highly recommend this and would request the Chairman Mr John Paul (whose whiskies are wonderful too) to continue to keep the staff motivated.

We recently stayed at Taj Kumarakom which I had booked blindly thinking Taj would provide the best experience. Little did I know! The food was so bad that we ended up eating at Lake Resort Kumarakom for all meals. I would highly recommend that. In fact we were thinking we should have better stayed there. The manager at the reception, Priya, was quite cold, refused to upgrade our rooms which I wanted to do using the Taj Epicure room upgrade vouchers. While she claimed there were no rooms available, I spoke to the cleaning staff and found that two rooms were vacant. When we enquired about using Uber her response was again non-committal because obviously she wanted us to use the hotel cab and charge a bomb. The lights in the room kept going out and we had to keep readjusting the key to get power back. Thee seemed to be some loose connection. Overall it was such a poor and disappointing experience, I would not recommend staying here and wasting your money. When you stay in a five star it’s not only the facility but the people and customer service that makes the stay unique and worthwhile. In contrast we had an amazing experience at taj kochi who were really hospitable.

Assolutamente fantastico soggiorno. Abbiamo avuto un tempo così brillante, l'hotel è incredibilmente tranquillo in un bellissimo ambiente. Il servizio è stato incredibile. Ci è piaciuto soprattutto una tour di bicicletta con il nostro guida Vishnu. Ci ha portati intorno alla zona e ci ha presentati ai villaggi, che erano affascinanti e che aveva un'ottima conoscenza della gente, delle abitudini e della fauna selvatica. Abbiamo anche goduto di un viaggio di caiaco con Abhinash, che era molto consapevole di tutti gli uccelli locali. Non potremmo raccomandare questo hotel abbastanza, saremo sicuramente tornati.

i recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful resort, and it was an incredibly relaxing experience. the ambience inside the property is truly pleasing and serene, with a nature-friendly vibe that immediately puts you at ease. the rooms were well-maintained, spacious, and provided a perfect balance of comfort and style. one of the highlights of the resort is definitely the pool—it’s stunning and adds so much to the overall experience. if you’re visiting, i highly recommend opting for the pool-view villas; they offer an unbeatable view and atmosphere. the food was delicious, with a wide variety of options, although slightly on the pricey side. that said, the quality more than made up for it. lastly, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. overall, a wonderful place for a peaceful getaway!

Questo posto è chiaramente passato il suo primo dall'aspetto di esso. La nostra sala di vista deluxe Lagoon è passato il suo ‘meglio per’ data. Il mobilio è spruzzato, lo specchio ha grandi tinture, la stanza ha un odore quando ci siamo accorti, l'aria condizionata funziona solo in un posto - 19 gradi. Il lavoro di legno è stato ripristinato sventolatamente, la porta di vetro è diventata giallo con grigio. Al pranzo, il curry verde thailandese era speziato - così speziato e nessuno di noi quattro poteva mangiare più di una limone. Noi rifiutammo di mangiarla e li chiesemmo di riprenderlo. Ma sorprendente, apparve sul nostro conto - nessuna scusa offerta. Naturalmente, abbiamo rifiutato di pagare per il piatto. Molto evento per le prime 24 ore.
