Ruhoots Cafe & Homestays

We had visited here on 22nd June 2024 with my family and friends including 3 kids. Place is nice. Resort is clean and good. Bit there was no bathroom accessories procided.Host was friendly to us in the beginning. But always quarrels or argues with her mother infront of the guests which was a bit uncomfortable. It is a forest area with no nearby access to food. Food is very costly which we was informed in advance. But issue was , during two days of our stay, we didn't get food on time. Breakfast gets ready by 10.30am,lunch by 2.30pm(which was still ok) and dinner was not even ready by 10.30PM night. Kids were very hungry and we kept on asking for something to eat just for the kids which was also delayed. On 2nd day night, it was raining heavily and the host started cooking only after 7.30pm. We went asking for some light food for kids at 8pm, she said she would make roti quickly which we didn't get even after 9.30pm. After asking multiple times, she said if she could serve us chicken starters for which we said yes. But we got this at 11pm. She had some bachelor party guests smoking and drinking jn the dining hall and she asked us to sit outside during that cold raining night. When we went to ask for chicken starter which she herself offered we saw her making French fries and we requested French fries for the kids expecting that we would get that quickly. Then she made 2 rotis and left over rice n Dal of the lunch for the kids. After asking food again, she started saying that in homestays like these it happens, we won't get food on time, chicken was delayed as we asked for French fries , it was delayed due to rain, due to our friends who went out to get something etc etc. Next day she dint even smile at us and charged 450rs extra for chicken, 250 for French fries and EVEN our Driver who ate the left over food was charged . She charged 500rs for carrying our two bags from road till the homestay. Her brother was really good and friendly though. I won't recommend this place for family. Thanks.
