I was a bit nervous about our stay here, having read some awful reviews. We are a family of 20 on a road trip around Sabah & Upper Deck was the only hotel that could accommodate a group of our size. I needn't have worried. Check-in was smooth & we had 7 rooms split between queen bed, twin, & family (which were actually connecting) rooms. All the rooms were spacious, clean, the beds comfortable, good a/c & shower. The Upper Deck was fine for our group & I wonder what all the other reviewers felt was so wrong. It did the job perfectly for us, & at less than rm120/room, we have no complaints. There's a supermarket next door & the fish market just 2 minutes away. The only downside is the rooms are on the 3rd floor & there's no lift.
