The Good:
- Location is very convenient. Even if it rains, there's shelter all the way to KL Sentral Station
- Rooms are generally clean and well kept
- Staff are friendly, especially the bellhop and housekeepers
Possible Areas for Improvement:
- When paying for the local taxes in cash at check-in, I explicitly said "here is 100MYR". Yet, the staff still shortchanged me of 50MYR. When I corrected him, he did return the extra amount, but not without saying "but if I cannot tally register at the end of day, I will check CCTV". Might have been an honest mistake on his part, but it didn't give a good first impression.
- My Trip.com check-in voucher stated that the room came with a window, but it did not. Counter staff said they didn't have any windowed-rooms left, which I accepted since I wasn't going to be in the room much. Still felt like a jail though, except with gaudy RGB cove lighting! Haha.
- Didn't help that the hotel layout had a strange layout to maximise the number of rooms, leaving my room tucked in an awkward corner at the end of narrow corridors. The further lack of Emergency Exit path signs made this my first hotel stay where I physically rehe****d and memorised my egress route.
- Water flow in the shower was so low that the instant water heater could barely switch on.
- The single elevator occasionally led to some waiting time.
TL;DR: Some quirks, but generally okay for the price.
