Questo posto è meno incentrato sull'alloggio e più sull'esperienza di vivere nella giungla di Tonsai. La stanza è semplice, non pulitissima, molto isolata ed estremamente calda (può essere difficile rinfrescarsi quando non c'è elettricità per 12 ore al giorno), MA la posizione è fantastica e i compagni di viaggio che incontri qui sono fantastici. Lo consiglierei sicuramente se stai cercando qualcosa di meno lussuoso, ma più un'esperienza tropicale nella giungla.

Ottima vicinanza alla spiaggia di Railay, anche se bisogna attraversare la giungla per arrivarci. In alternativa, pagate 300 THB alle barche a coda lunga per arrivarci. Normalmente costerebbe 50 THB, ma non c'è nessun altro sulla spiaggia di Tonsai, quindi dovreste aspettare un po'. Il personale è stato abbastanza gentile. Niente elettricità tra le 3:00 e le 18:00. La stanza era pulita ma molto calda quando si spegneva il ventilatore. Niente acqua calda, le prese elettriche non funzionavano molto bene ed era molto rumoroso se passavano dei motorini.

Questo posto è ok per quello che è, ma stai pagando così poco a causa della sua posizione e qualità rispetto agli altri posti nei dintorni. C'è solo elettricità dalle 18:00 alle 6:00. Niente aria condizionata, solo un ventilatore. Se stai solo pensando di passare il tempo in spiaggia e non di passare del tempo dentro e hai solo bisogno di un posto dove dormire, allora va bene. O stai cercando un posto "rilassante" dove semplicemente passare il tempo, anche questo va bene.

Tolle Lage, aber schlechte Unterkunft Die Umgebung ist traumhaft, perfekt zum Klettern, und der Strand ist wunderschön. Man erreicht den Ort nur per Boot, was ihn besonders macht. Die Unterkunft bietet eine Feuershow am Abend, und ein Late-Check-in war möglich. Leider hört es da mit den positiven Aspekten auf: Sanitäre Anlagen katastrophal, keine Seife, eine einzige Rolle Toilettenpapier. Kein Strom durch den Tag. Bett steinhart, Kakerlake im Zimmer – im Dschungel nicht überraschend, aber trotzdem unschön. Das Schlimmste: Lebensmittelvergiftung nach Abendessen im Restaurant, die Nacht auf der miserablen Toilette verbracht. Rezeption zeigte null Interesse es der Küche zu melden, keine Hilfe bei Apotheke oder Weiterreise. Fazit: Wer wirklich gar keine Ansprüche hat, kommt vielleicht klar – ich kann es nicht empfehlen.

Gostamos da estadia nos bangalôs. Foi tudo tranquilo, são muito hospitaleiros. Os bangalôs são espaços embora falte alguma manutenção, nos atendeu bem.

Not in main island, pay attention if you delay your check in to a night hour. Address is not clear until booking is confirmed and in some occasions is non refundable. Many trips is not pickin you up from this hostel so it is also disappointing if you already booked a boat trip for instance.

We arrived during the low season and immediately fell in love with the place, so we stayed for two weeks. The staff is super chill, accommodating and approachable - we ended up hanging around with them quite a bit. Their friendliness was one of the big perks to our stay. There’s a great restaurant with affordable prices right next to the bungalow park, where we had great coffee and even greater Pad Thai’s and the like. It’s right on the Main Street of Tonsai (though it is a small village) with many restaurants, some shops for your basic needs and plenty of climbing equipment rental places. All in all, we highly recommend this place, particularly if you love rock climbing, and want an authentic jungle living experience - cold showers and the ventilation which turns on at 6 will ensure you get enough cooling to feel rejuvenated in the morning as the monkeys start swinging in the trees in front of your bungalow.
