Portakal Hotel Dalyan

Отель расположен на берегу реки, удобно арендовать лодку для поездки на черепаший пляж и паром. Парковку приходится искать рядом. И нам пришлось немного подождать, хотя приехали мы на пару часов позже оговоренных 14-00 Отель очень красивый, стильный и ухоженный. Были проблемы с водой, их быстро устранили. Красивый бассейн и хороший завтрак. Остались очень довольны!!

Fabulous Hotel, amazing staff and super clean. My partner left his phone in the transfer taxi, the receptionist (sorry I couldn’t remember his name) couldn’t do enough to help and the phone was returned within 15minutes ! They were so helpful and happy to help. Honestly amazing staff we can’t thank you enough. The rooms are spacious and lovely bathrooms with super hot water. The breakfast is varied each day and tasty. Efes is served in a cold glass again by fabulous staff It’s close to the river and you can access the ferry to Kudous just outside (goes every 15 minutes) The main ***** is just a five minutes walk where you can find a huge range of restaurants and why not walk along the harbour to see all the boats offer a range of trips

We arrived quite late and were warmly welcomed by the friendly guy on reception. Shown to our room, we were very impressed with the quality of the design, fixtures and fittings. Beautiful glass mosaic lights, thick brocade curtains and everything squeaky clean. Two bottles of water in our room upon arrival and we had acquired extra milk sachets on the flight so a brew was quickly made to revive us. We paid to upgrade to a ground floor room with a terrace and we used this a lot so well worth the money for us. The upstairs rooms don't have balconies. We were lucky to get a corner room so it was nice and bright. Safe was handy too and no extra charges for this or the Aircon. The only thing we missed was an iron and they don't provide these, instead making a charge for an ironing service which we've never experienced before in our travels around the globe. The fridge was useful for storing milk and drinks. There is a rule about not bringing food or drink into the hotel, again another weird rule, but not rigidly enforced if you're tactful. We enjoyed breakfast sitting near the pool. Lots of choice and it varied a little each day. Excellent staff, attentive and friendly. The pool is quite small and there are plenty of sunbeds but very closely packed together. Luckily for us at this time of year it wasn't too hard to find solitude but could be an issue in the busier season. The bar prices are pretty high. For example 450 TL for a cocktail but some places in town only 300. Beer is cheaper. The gardens are cute and the hotel is next to the ferry over to Kaunos, the ancient city should not be missed. An easy walk from where the ferry docks. Ten mins walk to town and supermarkets en route. Got the bus to the turtle hospital which is easy to do and very interesting. Beautiful beach there too. We had late checkout but booked the shower room with reception, as the charge to keep your room is very expensive. Pleasantly surprised as there are two modern showers in there, with toiletries, a hairdryer and it's spacious and looks pretty new. We just kept hold of our room towels as none are provided in the shower room. I don't think it's worth paying to keep your room if you have a late flight. The shower room worked great for us! This hotel is a perfect base for your trip to the Dalyan River and although we never go back to a place as there's so much of the world to discover, if we did we'd stay here again. Me, my family and friend were in Portakal for the second time in 8 months. A fantastic hotel situated at a perfect location. Owners and staff are very nice and helpful. We definitaly will return next year summer 2026. For the hotel, Dalyan, the people and for sure for our new friend, barman Ramazan 😎. An experienced barman, but above all a social guy, funny for children and a great sense of humor. The bar is at the pool side, so a perfect combination for a day at the hotel. CU next year! We booked this hotel on the strength of the positive reviews and have to agree that they are totally accurate. Fabulous hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff. If you were being picky, it could be closer to town but even so it's only a ten minute walk into the centre of all the bars and restaurants. Really couldn't fault it..... lovely place.

What can I say that others haven’t? Not a lot, we agree with all the positive comments about the hotel, the rooms are excellent, public areas spotless, pool incredibly clean. We were not expecting a big spread at Breakfast but it was plenty, eggs , potatoes, lots of different bread, jams , fruit, tea etc. Yusef was an excellent staff member , always polite, hard working and helpful at breakfast and at lunch, during the day Abdul was also incredibly polite , helpful and hard working. T on reception was always on hand for advice and again a credit to the obvious good staff training that has been put in place. The river is right outside and the water taxi to and from the beach will pick you up and drop you off at Portakal. Overall a tremendous hotel that should be 4 star not 3!
