JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge

We stayed 7 nights and this property exceeded every expectation that we had. Game Drives: We were so fortunate to have Eric as our game driver for the week. He was an expert in navigating the park and answering any questions we had. We saw the big 5 within the first few days! If you have the opportunity to visit, you must ask for Eric! You get 2 game drives daily and we enjoyed them immensely. Cameras: You have the option to “rent” a high quality Canon camera for the week to take on your game drives. It was only $25 for the week and we got some great shots! Shout out Kennedy for helping us edit and transfer to photos to our phones. We will have these pictures and memories for a lifetime! Food and Beverage: We enjoyed every single meal we had here. Lunch and dinner featured a daily rotating menu and you could even ask to order off menu, nothing was too much for the chef. Special shout out to Elias and Eunice for their hospitality and Victor and Richard for making sure our glasses were never empty! The Room: Be aware there is no AC but this is really only an issue during the heat of the day (the pool felt great to cool off mid day) At night, it cooled off nicely and we slept great! Duncan, our room attendant, was phenomenal. He made sure our room was in perfect shape during our entire stay. 5 pieces of laundry per day is included and make sure to ask to heat your jacuzzi a couple hours in advance if you plan on using it. Spa: Wife and I got a couples massage, we both agreed it was one of the best massages we have ever gotten! Masai Village: $40 per person BUT these funds go directly to helping village kids and their education. I won’t ruin anything, but this visit was a true highlight of our trip. I’m sure I am forgetting other details, but this property is a must book! The staff is truly amazing.

This is not "just" hotel, this is a mind blowing experience. From the full equipped rooms or tents "better that any 5 star resorts" to all inclusive dining, from loaner of expensive camera equipment to daily laundry. This is luxury safari as its finest. Kudos to our guide sophie, our server benjamin and in special to the talented Moses "camera man" Thanks JW masai because you change our lifes!

JW Marriott Masa Mara was an unbelievable experience which was led by our Safari Guide Kool. Kool made our trip an experience we would never forget. When I saw 4 Cheetahs in the first 5 minutes of the trip I was blown away. Everyday kept getting better. Kennedy was a great help everyday with photos when I returned from the game drives. Hopefully we can get back here soon with the rest of the family!

We had an exceptional experience at the JW Marriott Masai Mara. All of the staff are extremely helpful and genuinely wanted to ensure our stay was special. The standout star is Joseph W. (our safari guide) that we were fortunate to have assigned to us. It does not get better than Joseph. He has a wonderful personality, thoughtful, extremely knowledgeable, and is a natural leader. He would plan out our week long safari drives providing us with the something to look forward to on every drive and would adjust accordingly based on what was naturally happening in the park. No task or opportunity was too much for Joseph. Including going on a two hour adventure to see three black rhinos (a very rare sighting), being the first to find leopards several times before other guides, and showing us intimate (and up close) lions with their cubs. Joseph deserves 5+ stars and made our trip magical! Other staff that deserve a special mention for their outstanding customer service are Fairman (lodge manager), Diani (cultural ambassador), Leshan (waiter), Josiah (barista), Joseph (waiter), Naichero (waitress), and Mike (room attendant).

This was built IN A MIGRATORY RIVER CROSSING thus COMPLETELY cutting off this age old route from wildlife. AND it was done during a BAN ON NEW BUILDING. I will NOT support corporate greed at the expense of wildlife!!! So if you support wildlife and its existence, this is NOT how you do it.

We went on a once-in-a-lifetime safari with our children. Of the three lodges where we stayed, all of which were high-end, the JW was the best of the best. Accommodations are remarkable, service extremely attentive, food delicious, guides as good as they come. The partnership with Canon is an amazing perk. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.
