JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge

Wow! This was absolutely the most amazing trip we’ve ever had. Everything about this lodge was first class- the incredible staff, lodge, the food- truly everything! We can’t say enough good things about our experience. They think of everything here! Special thanks to our outstanding guide Vinny, and also to Leshan and Elias (dining) Anna (housekeeping), Lilian (incredible on site nurse) Thelma and Brian (guest services), Bhuvan (chef) and Moses in the camera shop.

Fantastic experience. Janet our guide, Diana, Kilian, Ritchie, Joseph, and all of the staff was superb! Definitely a must visit place! The food is great, bartenders really knew what they were doing, and this all-inclusive doesn’t try to force you into low quality liquor. The vodka sprite was Grey Goose or Ciroc, margarita was 1800, and most of the wine was South African. We were really pleased with everything out here. Get help from the photographers Moses and Kennedy too! Those guys are the best.

As a Titanium Elite member, I’ve stayed at many Marriott properties, but the experience here was truly unparalleled. Executive Chef Rajiv Ranjan and Sous Chef Bhuvan delivered exceptional meals that were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Their passion and attention to detail made our stay truly magical. A special shoutout to Diana and her team, who went above and beyond to make our trip even more special. Their warmth, professionalism, and dedication were fantastic and truly stood out. Highly recommend this property—not just for the stunning location, but for the incredible service and unforgettable dining experience!

This very special place and beautiful people captured my heart; we were “home”. So much so that if I had just experienced one day, my soul felt full. The genuine people foremost, the beauty of the place, the freedom of the wildlife, the seamless integration of the lodge with the local community, the freshest food, and the vast gorgeous hills and land surrounding us. I found heaven on earth. The people..❤️ The genuine care and love they showed me and my husband will never be forgotten. Eunice and Elias watched over us every day. Eunice, with her beautiful soul, giant smile, and friendship are a gift I will always treasure. Elias, with his gentle, stately style introduced me to Dawa tea which I needed and enjoyed immensely (and my husband has been recreating since we returned home). Elias patiently waited for us at night for dinner when we were often one of the last couples to return back to the lodge after sundowners. Josiah and Richard were always on hand and surprised me every morning and evening with my coffee, dawa tea, and fresh fruit drinks, serving with a smile and kind heart. Victor, who is joyful and wise, was always a pleasure to see and talk to, especially at the sundowners. Jonathan, our Masai escort was attentive and friendly, and we were always thankful to see him. And thank you to Wilson, who when learning of my interest in the on-site garden, took me on a private garden tour. I was in awe of the fresh herbs, fruit, nuts and flowers and the care and upkeep that went into this pristine and healthy garden. The Masai people shared their spirits with us— dancing and singing! The chef and gardeners and others I did not meet personally, all contributed their hearts and labor to creating such an exceptional experience. Eric, our expert guide and driver, made us feel like we were the only people in the Mara. Every day, every drive, every moment was a once-in-a-lifetime experience with him. He expertly navigated the terrain, shared stories, delighted us with breakfasts in the bush, sundowners, and unforgettable wildlife experiences. His respect for and knowledge of the Mara shines bright. Coming home after drives and in the late evening, we were grateful for the service of James and Mary, who kept our villa well cared for and welcoming. I looked forward to seeing the faces of every one of these people, every day. Even now, one month later my heart swells with gratitude, love and the happiest of memories. This place became home to us. And yes, the JWMarriott Masai Mara is absolutely stunning, private, secluded, and beautifully integrates into its surrounding. This place and its people far exceeded anything I could dream. We love you, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My wife and I stayed at the JW Marriott Masai Mara for 4 nights in January 2025. Overall, it exceeded all our expectations and was one of the best places we have ever stayed at during all our travels. The accomodations are luxurious and spacious, the food and drinks are amazing and the customer experience is at the highest level you could ever expect. Every employee knew our names and always knew what our plans were for the day. They had every detail organized for us and it was flawless. So many people to recognize and thank from Thelma, Wilson, Kool, Joseph and Jesiah and Moses. Thank you to the JW Marriott Masai Mara family and hopefully we will be back some day in the future. We are truly missing all of you.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful 5 day stay at this lodge. We didn't want to leave. The camp feels brand new, clean and beautiful. I was surprised at every turn at how stunning the design of the camp and interiors were. Our villa felt so luxurious. So comfortable and private. Our game drives, lead by Paul, could not have been better. With his persistence and knowledge we were even able to see the elusive Rhino!!! JW's resident safari drivers have a big advantage over drivers who travel between parks- they work as a team and have ongoing knowledge of where the animals spend their time. JWs staff is next level. I don't know how all of the staff memorized our names on the first day but it made us feel so special. We felt so cared for by the whole team. Brian and Diana did everything to make our stay as perfect as possible. Don't miss Diana's storytelling by the fire! Viktor and Josiah made sure our drinks were never empty and even remembered our preferences. We loved visiting with them at the fig tree lounge. Every single meal we had was delicious, and if you're craving something specific, the chef is happy to whip it up for you. True standouts were all of the fish dinners and Indian night! Big thank you to Eunice, Elias, and Patrick and for always making sure every meal was perfect. This trip was a big splurge for us and it was worth every penny. We feel so lucky to have visited P.S. if you're on the fence about where to book- Moses and the camera studio should make this decision easy. We had access to tens of dollars of camera equipment and our photos look like it. You don't need to be an expert photographer to leave this trip feeling like one. Moses will show you the basics and the animals will show you the rest!
