JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge

Staying here was truly the experience of a lifetime. The property is so beautiful but the staff is where it really shines. We loved every single employee so much. The meals are delicious, we enjoyed all of the organic fresh food. The tents (if you can call it that) are spacious and comfortable. The canon studio is also a super fun amenity! But the game drives… WOW!! Our driver Nabiki went above and beyond for us. She is amazing!! We got to see the big five and every single drive felt like an adventure. We can’t say enough good about our stay, it was perfect.

Our stay at this lodge in the Masai Mara was truly unforgettable. It was far more than just a hotel — it was a deeply immersive experience that elevated our entire trip. I genuinely cannot imagine having stayed anywhere else; it was perfect in every way. From the beautifully designed accommodations and delicious cuisine to the thoughtful touches throughout the lodge, every detail was carefully considered. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. The cameras provided from the Canon studio and staff to help you take the perfect photos was an amazing addition to the safaris. Some of the most memorable moments outside of the safari included breakfast in the bush, sundowners with breathtaking views, and meaningful cultural experiences. One highlight was our visit to the Maa Trust, where we learned about their work supporting local communities. This was something I had a particular interest in and our guide was able to make an accommodation to schedule this for us, again going above and beyond. I was able to purchase honey produced through a beekeeping initiative — a powerful and inspiring program that helps women support their families. I’m especially excited to use this honey to make the iconic Dawa cocktail and share a piece of this journey with friends back home. This lodge made our Masai Mara experience truly extraordinary, and I would enthusiastically recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic, luxurious, and enriching safari adventure.

What a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience! Being surrounded by such magnificent animals was magical enough, but what made our trip even more unforgettable were the incredible people and the outstanding level of service we received. Our guide, Eric, exceeded every expectation — he was exceptionally knowledgeable, deeply passionate about his work, and endlessly kind and patient with us. He made an already magical experience even more extraordinary. The entire hotel staff was equally amazing, providing top-notch service and making us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Thank you all for making our stay so special — we will cherish these memories forever!

I’ve had the privilege of traveling extensively, but this experience stands out as one of the most unforgettable of my life. A heartfelt thank you to our exceptional guide, Issa, whose professionalism and deep knowledge of the reserve made every moment extraordinary—he seemed to know exactly where to find every animal. The entire team at the JW went above and beyond, delivering impeccable service that elevated this luxury adventure to an entirely new level. We had a fantastic experience at the JW Marriott. I’m a devoted Bonvoy member, traveling globally and this is one of my top 3 Marriotts locations, maybe even the top 1. Very friendly staff, totally committed to our wellbeing and to creating a unique experience. We felt like we had become friends with the team by the end of our 5 nights stay. Amazing game drives with JW’s own, superior vehicles and super knowledgeable drivers. You also get professional cameras and the photography staff will help you with using the equipment but also sit down to review and select from your photos. Spacious, luxurious and comfortable accommodations and inviting common areas. Excellent and diverse food options. Everything was very well organized and still, completely flexible if we wanted to change up our schedule for game drives. Overall, I can only highly recommend the stay.

UNBELIEVABLE! I’ve been fortunate to many different Marriotts in this one, blew the rest of them out of the water. Both from to the Hospitality from all the different departmental staff this was a trip of a lifetime. Richard at the bar will be the best mixologist you’ve ever come across for whatever it is that you desire to drink. He always had drinks ready to go for us for the night safaris as well. Diana did such a wonderful job organizing the staff and making sure all needs were attended to. Her nighttime fireside stories in the Masai culture were very informative. Timothy in housekeeping left the room perfect for set up and turn downs consistently and made sure our daily laundry was always returned. Sophie was our All-Star as she was an excellent guide and had so many facts of all the species we came across, which was just about everything we could’ve asked for. Fairman was the lodge manager and it was clear he takes a great amount of pride in his job to make sure all the appropriate staff members are well trained and educated for their positions, which showed. Faith and Melvin were excellent therapists at the spa for both massages and facials. The food was absolutely incredible as they change the menu for each meal every day. We never had one bad or mediocre meal. Killion was a great server and very attentive to our needs. One night we missed the dinner and he called us to check on us to see if they could bring us dinner, very thoughtful. The lodge only holds about 44 people so it is extremely intimate and personal. For an all inclusive it is worth whatever the point amount is considering you would get so much value, including the safaris which includes two a day. Even if you have to pay for this, the value is absolutely there. “Canon” Ken set you up with $30,000 photo lens and camera for breathtaking photos. He is very experienced and his Instagram page shows his talent offer very well. For only $25 to rent a camera during your whole day it is one of the biggest steals as well. Ken also helped us clean up, choose, and edit our photos. The spa was very rejuvenating and includes a free cold plunge, steam, and dry sauna that you can block off for an hour whenever for private use. The gym is also sufficient right next to the beautiful infinity edge pool, which was carefully maintained. Tanuj and Wilson were incredible help and courteous at the front desk. They went above and beyond to contact and change our flights when we needed help. Joseph (Mr Hippo) the F&B director was very knowledgeable on everything animal related and was always ready for an in depth discussion on life and the culture which was greatly appreciated. We witnessed him actually communicating with the hippos that are on property which was cool. Go take a look at the garden, you’ll never see a better one. I could go on and on, but I do not have one complaint of criticism. Get here!
