Hotel in zona Agios Stefanos Beach, Kos

I have only one word for this hotel DISGUSTING. Please avoid booking here. I had mixed feeling before booking of this hotel but I decided based on good feedback on TripAdvisor. We stayed here with my husband and 2 years old son for 8 nights. I didn't expect some high level but when we opened the door of our room I was SHOCKED. Floor was covered with hair. Many types of hair, black, brown, short, long, curly. Amazing. Other shock was when I controlled the bed. On the bed sheet were yellow stains. The bedsheets were with holes. The towels as well with holes. Everywhere ants (big,small), dead spiders... I think bathroom nobody cleaned before our coming. On the floor were everywhere hair, on the mirror and taps water stains, empty bottles with shampoo and body lotium, the sink was black. We went to the reception, with request to change the room. The receptionist was not kind, she said she can only send the cleaning stuff to clean from the beginning our room and they will use some spray against the ants. We agreed. When we came back, nothing was cleaned, only floor, everything remained the same. My husband wrote big email where he attached the pictures. Next day we came back to the reception, we asked to Cancer our accommodation and refund the money or they can provide normal clean room. They gave us new room. I cannot say it was clean but better. However at night we found out the air condition was out of service. We couldn't sleep all night because the room was hot and we listened to 4 am some loudly music probably from some bar or restaurant. Next day we had to ask to fix the air condition. We waited 3 hours in the room (they said us to wait in the room-missed the breakfast) for stuff. At the end of 5 hours of waiting they said it is not possible to repair so we had to move again to another room. No apologies, nothing. In general hotel is really dirty, public toilets disgusting, during my stay I didn't see anybody to clean the swimming pool, everywhere hair, rubbish. The tables in dining room are sticky because they clean it with one dirty clothes every time. The chairs as well sticky. We many times couldn't find the free chair near the swimming pool so we had to leave our stuff on the ground as well on the beach is problem to find the free chair, we had to stayed on the sun on the beach without chair with child while somebody had towels and magazine under the shadow. I dont go on the vacation to have to have a worry if i dont bring home some bugs as well i don't go on vacation to fight for chairs on the beach. Other point is water, hotel likes to say they are sustainable. Okay, i agree to avoid the plastic bottles. But why are not stated anywhere in the hotel any water fountains ? I saw people to buy water in the shop. It is like kidding in 5 stars hotel.

Posizione ottima, a pochi minuti a piedi dalla città di Kardamena. Le stanze pulite e ben strutturate, presente in ognuna un balconcino con sedie, tavolino e un piccolo stendi panni (molto utile). Il bagno con vasca e finestrato delle dimensioni adeguate. Presenti 3 piscine con lettini comodi e ombrelloni, abbastanza distanziati tra loro per godere di ottimi momenti di relax. I ristoranti a buffet si trovano nella parte alta del villaggio, la salita per raggiungerli vale la pena perché si mangia veramente bene. Cibo ben presentato, vario. Ogni sera serate a tema con menù differente. Abbiamo usufruito per una sera del ristorante alla carta ma sinceramente si mangia talmente bene al ristorante a Buffet che non abbiamo notato grandi differenze rispetto agli altri ristoranti (Panorama e Mediterraneo). I baristi sono tutti eccezionali, Tom al bar della reception sempre sorridente e gentile prepara il caffè migliore. Al bar della piscina Nik e Michele preparano fantastici cocktail fino a mezzanotte, ci hanno conquistato con la loro simpatia. La spiaggia è piccola ma il punto mare stupendo, pulitissimo, acqua limpida, insomma il tipico mare della Grecia. Unica pecca per arrivare alla spiaggia bisogna attraversare direttamente la strada che, pur non essendo particolarmente trafficata, può risultare pericolosa per i bambini. Direttamente all'interno dell'hotel è presente il servizio di noleggio auto ben organizzato e con prezzi onesti. Tutto il personale è stato gentile sorridente e preparato. Grazie a tutti per averci fatto vivere una vacanza TOP.

Sono stato in questo hotel per 3 ( ultima volta nel 2020 ) volte e devo dire che quest'anno l'ho trovato molto cambiato ...forse avere aggiunto al nome Luxury Resort gli ha dato alla testa . Devo dire che il primo errore è stato il mio in fase di prenotazione non avendo controllato bene ho prenotato una camera standard anziché la solita De Lux ma conoscendo l'hotel e la cifra pagata non mi sono preoccupato più di tanto e qui il mio più grosso errore . Le camere sono veramente brutte i mobili fatiscenti il bagno talmente piccolo che in 2 non si entra , la doccia dentro la vasca da bagna vecchia e cadente ...non certo da un hotel 5 stelle ma al massimo da un albergo da 1 stella . la camera ( 2733 ) è posizionata in una palazzina propio al limite del villaggio quasi nel parcheggio delle auto accanto al teatro con i conseguenti disagi di chi come noi va a letto molto presto , aria condizionata rumorosissima da non farti dormire , tende sporche e come già detto mobili dell'epoca di Napoleone . Abbiamo chiesto di potere un'altra camera e dopo 2 giorni ci hanno proposto una Standard comfort ma era al terzo piano con annesse scale e siccome mia moglie ha un problema al ginocchio abbiamo dovuto rinunciare . Un hotel 5 stelle non può mettere in vendita camere del genere o almeno devono avvisare i clienti di quello che hanno prenotato visto che dal sito non può capire a cosa si va incontro , sul sito scrivono che è vicino alla piscina ma si guardano bene dal dire che il Teatro è praticamente in camera . Il personale ( ad eccezione dell'Housekeeping e della signora del Room service che sono state con noi di una gentilezza incredibile e meritano sicuramente tutto il nostro ringraziamento ) è assolutamente impreparato e sempre con un'atteggiamento ostile ( ricordavamo questo posto propio per la gentilezza del personale giovane e disponibile ) probabilmente molto stanchi ma senza volere sembrare maleducato questi non sono problemi degli ospiti !! Le varie piscine sono sporche e la pulizia è molto superficiale ad eccezione della piscina solo per adulti che chiaramente è meno frequentata , il Ristorante Italiano dove abbiamo cenato x 2 volte di Italiano ha solo il nome visto che ti propongono un Risotto Alla Milanese con i Gamberetti !!!!!!!!!! . Il giorno della partenza chiedo se possibile estendere il check-out di 1 ora e chiaramente mi dicono di no ....poco male avranno molti arrivi allora per non creare lasciamo la camera libera alle 10 AM e ci rechiamo in piscina per le ultime ore di sole, alle 12 in punto mi chiamano dalla reception e una ragazza con voce altezzosa mi dice ” sono le 12 quando viene a pagare il suo conto ? ” asserendo che dovevano chiudere il mio conto per creare un nuovo conto per degli altri clienti .........sono 40 anni che viaggio per il mondo in hotel 5 stelle e questo non mi è mai capitato trovo il modo di farlo offensivo ( dovrebbero istruire meglio il loro personale che ti affronta sempre in modo arrogante ) . This hotel is just a lovely hotel to stay, spotlessly clean in all areas. But one of the best things about and what made it such a great experience was the wonderful staff, Steve on night reception is such a lovely guy. But every one of the reception staff could not have been more helpful to myself and my friend, the ladies in the dining area so friendly to everyone. We could not have chosen a better hotel for our week in kos, had a lovely week. Thanks for everything all, Christine Quinn and Susan Chesters
