Hotel in zona Cerkev sv. Trojice, Koper - Capodistria

We were visiting the Slovenian Coast for 5 Nights as a couple with a dog. We opted for a hotel in a more quiet location compared with portoroz - Izola etc.... What a great choice! Firstly, the hotel is beautiful renovated and looks like a new place. All is well and feels new - from the Restaurant, Lobby and the Rooms! (and awesome Salt chambers..) We chose a double room with balcony, which in those hot days were great for the early mornings or later evenings! (plus a big help in drying beach towels and clothes!) The room was nice, safe and mini bar fridge all available. Good shower - and for outdoor 38 degrees heat a perfectly working Air Con!! That's a real bonus! The Food (Breakfast was an enough wide selection) and the Dinner (mixed à la carte & sushi) must be stated was amazingly nice cooked, real top quality chef! if you like to dine out or eat in the evenings out just a 10-minute walk is the Ancaran Townsquare with a handful of nice Bars, Italian, Local Speciality Restaurant and so on. ＞All one needs! But the best ist still straight down from the hotel, the small bar on the beach! - So! - most over all I like to mention the feeling being a few days away from home in this place made us really relaxed and the best of the hotel is the people who work there!! - from the welcome reception team to the bar & restaurant staff and the housekeepers - all were at every time friendly and engaged! Overall, the Owner or Manager of this Hotel should be happy to have exactly this team working there now! They are awesome people with a good sense of hospitality! I would try to keep them! From the hotel you can walk in 3-5 minutes to a nice calm, quiet beach with another nice Restaurant and Bar (directly overlooking the Bay of Ancaran, Koper and so on) which was a lovely scenery!). The water was crystal clean and perfect temperature, and each time coming back to the hotel felt simply nice. Having travelled over 100s of times and stayed in 2-5 star hotels all over - this is definitely a place to go back. You just have to know what you are looking for and what kind of entertainment one wants. If you choose wisely, and you look for a bit more quiet place and not overloaded with people - and good drinks, food etc... than this is your destination! Thank you Team Ortus for the great stay. Un posto dove ci si può rilassare riposare e godersi la splendida città di Portorose con il suo mare. L' hotel Lucja si trova proprio sul lungo mare, accolti alla reception da Tina gentilissima che ci ha dato le istruzioni su come andare nella piscina di acqua salata termale (che è un toccasana per la salute), su dove fare colazione e cenare (tutto buonissimo e di ottima qualità),ci ha dato le chiavi e siamo saliti in camera. Tutto pulito, arieggiato e con materassi e cuscini comodissimi, vista sul mare, aria condizionata. Non è mancato proprio nulla. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.

Non ho mai trovato un hotel di cinque stelle così carente. Dopo la prima consumazione mini bar compresa ho ordinato dell’acqua mai fornita.Servizio in camera inesistente. Collazione a buffet variabile ma con tre macchine di caffè e cappuccino sempre guaste e coda per avere il servizio.Cena sempre a buffet con tovaglioli di carta e senza tovaglia. Pietanze molto frequentemente senza gusto. Consiglio togliere almeno due stelle almeno si evitano delusione nelle aspettative a partire dalla reception.

Tutto è stato fantastico tranne che per un paio di aspetti negativi. Parcheggio a pagamento (5 euro al giorno per strada in un paio di minuti a piedi o 15 in metropolitana), in qualche modo non si aspettava che dei soldi sarebbero stati presi per il parcheggio. Cuscini e coperte potrebbero anche essere ottenuti in qualità, altrimenti è in qualche modo poco dignitoso per 5 *. Bene, come commento: a Capodistria non esiste una classica prima linea di spiaggia. Sì, e non ci sono spiagge classiche, è stata una piccola sorpresa per noi, ma l'hotel ha una piscina con acqua di mare, e puoi anche guidare fino alla vicina Pirano, dove c'è una micro-spiaggia di pietra.

The hotel is located right on the beach (well, what goes as ‘beach’ here – basically a concrete deck up to the sea), with all rooms having a sea view. It is still within easy reach of the centre of Piran, reached by a path along the coast. As you reach the hotel, you will find that parking is a real issue – there are not enough parking lots for all 50+ rooms, and the area is popular for going to the beach; the public parking lots charge 15 € per day, are at least 100 m away, and fill up as well. The reception is friendly and efficient. Once you are checked in, you walk through the breakfast room and up a ramp to a single, small, old elevator that takes you up to the rooms in the main building; it doesn’t inspire much confidence, so most guests only use it to bring their luggage to / from the rooms – it’s only three storeys max… While some rooms (those with numbers ending with x06 to x09) face the lake and the coastline of Piran, the rest is built to face more towards the sea; that makes little difference in terms of the views, but keeps the sun out more. The rooms are small for two people, in particular the wardrobe – it looks like it is rather made for a stay of a few days than for a week or two. There is a little fridge / minibar; the WiFi works. The bathrooms are very small (except for the shower), with no place to put toiletries (well, on the cistern of the toilet…) – two people will struggle to use it at the same time. There is a hair dryer with US sockets. The beds are good, but only have a single pillow type. There are opaque curtains to keep the daylight out; while they leave light through at the sides and the top, they do a reasonable job. It is very quiet at night (unless the other hotel guests aren’t…), so all set for a good night’s sleep. A simple but reasonable breakfast buffet is included in the room charge, with seating inside and on a terrace facing the beach and the sea. During the day and in the evenings, reasonable food can be had at the restaurant; the service is efficient (no long waiting times).

L'hotel ci è piaciuto molto, è un hotel con poche stanze, quella classica è di discrete dimensioni, ma tutto è molto pulito e arredato con ottimo gusto, molto classico, il bagno era piccolo, aveva la doccia, ma aveva tutto e tutto era in perfette condizioni. A colazione non sapevamo che i piatti caldi si dovessero ordinare, non era indicato e non ce lo offrivano neanche a noi, ma vedendo altri clienti ordinarlo lo abbiamo fatto anche noi, solo che era tutto molto corretto e anche l'attenzione dei dipendenti.

Adoro il nostro soggiorno di notte a The Modernist! È un hotel elegante, intelligente e artificioso nel centro della città, a poca distanza da camminare a tutti i negozi, bar e ristoranti. La stanza era senza spot con tè, caffè, minibar e toalete tutte fornite. Il ristorante e il bar del cocktail servono cocktail creativi, un grande colazione a buffet e una cena favolosa - tutti li abbiamo goditi!!

Anche se la struttura è evidentemente costruita attorno al casinò, dove immaginiamo si produca il core business dell'Azienda, possiamo comunque contare su un'organizzazione di Hotel e Ristorante nominalmente a quattro stelle. Mentre della parte notte e del Casinò non ci possiamo esprimere, per il Ristorante abbiamo diverse segnalazioni da condividere: Il locale, disposto in due sale molto grandi e spaziose tra i tavoli, dispone di una perfetta illuminazione ed un rigore nella preparazione della tavola che ci ha favorevolmente sorpreso. Anche la parte esterna, che conta su una parete di infestanti di un verde rasserenante, illumina parzialmente come in un dipinto di Monet e rende davvero gratificante la permanenza. Unica nota stonata, nella parte centrale che comunica tra le due stanze, una specie di sipario che mal racchiude gli accessori destinati alla prima colazione. Nonostante il timore che ci assale ogni qualvolta ci si appresti alla cucina Slovena (poca scelta, poco selezionata, poco elaborata e molto monetizzata), in questa occasione dobbiamo completamente ricrederci: I piatti sono sempre presentati con rigore, minima ma efficace guarnizione e sempre eccellente preparazione. Il cibo, selezionato con cura, è sempre cucinato con i medesimi crismi e mai ci è capitato di convergere su un risotto scotto o altre sorpresine (propinateci con regolarità in quasi tutte le altre strutture recensite). Il pane, autentica sciccheria del posto, è fatto da loro e sembra davvero il più buono mai provato fino ad oggi. Purtroppo però, il sole che traspare dalla vegetazione, non riesce ad illuminare anche la direzione che si occupa del personale. Infatti, sebbene vi siano alcuni dipendenti davvero professionali e competenti, ce ne sono degli altri del tutto inadatti a ricoprire tale ruolo. Sito internet non aggiornato, irrequietezze organizzative (prezzi sempre diversi alla cassa), direttrice stizzita e numeri da circo nel prendere le ordinazioni sconquassano una potenziale struttura da favola. Consigliamo un profondo ravvedimento sui processi aziendali, penna alla mano, scrivendo un manuale operativo per camerieri e direttori di sala come fanno tutte le Aziende che aspirano a qualcosa di più (soprattutto quando il risultato è incredibilmente sotto il naso). Con un profondo lavoro di riorganizzazione e di formazione del personale, questa struttura ha il potenziale per diventare un ristorante davvero eccellente.
