Hotel in zona Gardens at the Open Air Museum, Kongens Lyngby

We stayed in a room for four people. After settling into our room and turning off the lights, we heard something that sounded like a person beating on our door -loudly! I ran to the door and nobody was there. Puzzled, I assumed it was just noise from someone beating on another door. Maybe kids making a prank or something. The sound repeated about twice an hour for the entire night. It was coming from somewhere inside the wall and/or ceiling near the door. Analyzing the noise it sounded more like an unbalanced motor or pump winding down and clanging on its mounting. I complained to the front desk and the clerk said ”Oh yes we're aware of the strange sound. We don't know what it is.” !!!! I asked for another room but there was only one other room for four and it was booked. They refused to explanation as to why they rented this room with a known fundamental defect that makes sound sleep impossible. Also, the room was equipped with a Jacuzzi tub, but it was broken. I would never recommend this badly overpriced and badly managed hotel.

Stayed at this hotel for 7 nights in late May 2024. You get the “new” feeling for everything given it is indeed just a few months in operation. The hotel is located in a very quiet and safe residential area by the port. During the day, you can expect “some work” going on around the vicinity but it is fine in my opinion. The room is considered self sufficient (no mini fridge, no bedroom slippers, no phone with just a few hangers). It is of a reasonable size for one, max two persons. Bed and pillows are comfy. The breakfast offered is unlike the usual massive buffet range but is considered very decent and healthy. Question is how much can one consume over breakfast. Several cosy eateries and supermarkets are located within walking distance. You can also chill or catch some good sun by the boardwalk nearby where people swim and yoga inside the little hut. If you wish to save some money, you should take the train from the airport and walk around 10-15mins to the hotel. Otherwise, taxi from the airport to the hotel vice versa can set you back by DKK500/- just for your guide. Rental of bicycles are available at DKK150/- per day at the hotel (new bikes). Traveling to the city, one-way transport by either bus or metro would cost around DKK24/-. Lastly, you can expect to be greeted by extremely courteous, friendly and helpful hotel staffs. Abbiamo soggiornato 5 notti. È molto ben situato. A 8 minuti dalla metropolitana e facile accesso. Buon ristorante vietnamita a due passi. Tuttavia ho preso una camera familiare per avere spazio e era molto piccolo. Nessun posto per le 2 valigie. Anche questo era un po' sporco, la doccia era bloccata al fondo e i forni erano davvero sgualdrini, al punto che non si osava usare; a volte la mattina mancava una vasca perché gli altri mettevano lavastoviglie piuttosto che lavare.

Situazione perfetta. Calma nonostante la posizione. Le camere sono piuttosto semplici. Nessun ascensore quindi è meglio non portare bagagli troppo pesanti. In generale molto buono.

La posizione è sicuramente il punto forte di questa struttura, vicina al centro, ma non così tanto da essere in mezzo al caos. Il parcheggio interno (a pagamento) è sicuramente utile se si arriva con mezzo proprio (come nel nostro caso). Pulizia buona. Camera molto angusta (il nome Cabinn ”cabina” credo sia voluto), con spazio appena sufficiente per muoversi. Reception un po' malmessa. Abbiamo chiesto ai receptionist (giovani e inesperti) di conservare un piccolo brick di latte in frigorifero (abbiamo una bambina piccola) e ci hanno risposto che per il loro regolamento non è possibile conservare alcunché, nonostante abbiano un bar alla reception, e per giunta ridendoci in faccia. Il prezzo della camera, così come di qualsiasi altra cosa a Copenhagen, è eccessivamente gonfiato, per ciò che offre.

Stayed overnight at Kokkedal castle and booked a single deluxe room in a main building. Ample parking space and smooth check-in experience, however, upon entering my room, the key didn’t work so I need to run down and ask for a check to get it active again, and it did. The room was good enough for solo traveler. The lighting in the room giving a warm tone and I get a room with fantastic view over the golf course and a peek of the ocean. A good single size bed and comfortable linens. I had a goodnight sleep. Do bear in mind, as it’s a historical building that’s dated from 1700s, therefore their fixtures could make a little noise and watch your head for low sections wall in the room. The forest in the surrounding however, definitely worth a trail and it’ll leads you down to a nearby Rungsted harbor where you can find local restaurants, local beach and Karen Blixen museum. The breakfast room located in their cellar and the buffet is sufficient enough to give you some energy to start your morning. Overall, it was a good overnight stay and would like to try their spa facilities or perhaps their bigger room next time. If you have an appreciation of historical places, then this is one of a place worth a visit.

Abbiamo soggiornato 4 giorni e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Come prima cosa Metro e stazione dei treni a nemmeno 5 minuti dall'hotel. Posizone ottima per andare in aeroporto che in poco più di 20 minuti di Metro si arriva direttamente. Camera: per gli standard di Copenaghen direi più grande delle aspettative. Provvista di ogni confort necessario come macchina per the e caffè e frigobar. Bagno anch'esso abbastanza grande e pulito ma senza bidet! Colazione: direi ottima! Per tutti o gusti dal dolce al salutato. Ottima e vasta la scelta del pane che era eccellente, vasta scelta di tipi latte tra cui soia, mandorle, scremato ecc. idem per i cereali. Ovviamente non mancava yogurt, frutta formaggi affettati uova (scrumble e sode) salsiccia e pancakes. Ho apprezzato molto la brocca del caffè su ogni tavolo stile americano. Il personale gentile inoltre nonostante o piatti del buffet erano ancora pieni con le varie pietanze come per esempio prosciutto, pane, brioche ecc.... i camerieri continuavano a rifornire gli stessi piatti così che non erano MAI vuoti. Ottima cosa! L'unico consiglio che posso dare è la mancanza delle ciabatte da camera e un kit di cortesia da toilette. Se dovessi tornare a Copenaghen sicuramente ritornerei. Consigliato!

Aspetti positivi: si trova in un'ottima posizione, vicina alla stazione e a 10-15 minuti a piedi dal centro, a 5 minuti dal Tivoli Park. C'è la possibilità di noleggiare le biciclette ad un prezzo economico per la Danimarca (circa 20 euro a testa) per tutto il giorno, ve lo consiglio! In camera c'è un mini lavandino, molto comodo. Avendo una disponibilità economica limitata, è stata una scelta quasi obbligata visti i prezzi molto alti per noi italiani. Note negative: bagni comuni decenti ma visibilmente non puliti giornalmente (tralascio i dettagli), la camera è piccola (ma questo lo sapevamo e va bene) ma poco organizzata, basterebbe qualche mensola in più. La struttura è da rinnovare: moquette dappertutto e cavi in vista e posticci nei corridoi. Attezione: il chek in, almeno nostro caso, è stato categoricamente alle 14. Abbiamo atteso ben 4 ore. Di solito si fa il possibile per preparare la camera anche un po' prima dell'orario ufficiale o comunque si cerca di venirsi incontro. Invece ci hanno fatto lasciare i bagagli in una stanza deposito e siamo poi tornate alle 12:30 aspettando un'ora e mezza nella hall. Nessuno ci ha degnato di uno sguardo. Alle 14 abbiamo chiesto e ci hanno indicato un PC dove fare autonomamente il chek in ma compariva l'avviso che la camera non era ancora disponibile anche se erano le 14 passate. Siamo tornate alla reception, hanno verificato e la camera era pronta, ci è venuto il dubbio che lo fosse anche prima. Mi è sembrato un atteggiamento rigido e poco accogliente. Conclusione: alloggio economico (per i prezzi danesi) ma che avrebbe bisogno di qualche miglioria, soprattutto per quanto riguarda la pulizia e la funzionalità.

La prima esperienza in un ostello della gioventù nella mia vita è arrivata davvero un po' tardi, tanto che quando ho parlato con la maestra Cai lei era preoccupata se una Vergine come me con disturbi del sonno sarebbe riuscita a farcela. Questo ostello della gioventù a Copenaghen è così famoso, Next House, che quando prendiamo l'autobus, l'autista a questa fermata ci dice espressamente: ”Scendi alla casa successiva” (ovviamente capisco solo le due parole ”casa accanto”) . parola). Poi un gruppo di persone è sceso dall'autobus e ha trascinato i bagagli nell'enorme edificio di questo ostello della gioventù. Era molto vivace non appena siamo entrati nell'edificio. Molte persone chiacchieravano, bevevano e giocavano a giochi da tavolo. Era davvero un paradiso per la gente di Sheniu. Le camere e i letti sono migliori di quanto mi aspettassi. È una piacevole sorpresa che ogni camera abbia un WC e un bagno. Sembra che non dorma nella cuccetta superiore da quando mi sono laureata, ma davvero non c'è posto dove stare in questa stanza senza dormirci sopra.
