Villa Tekkei 鉄景 was one of 9 villas built next to the river My outdoor natural alkaline hotspring bath was incredibly relaxing, just watching the clouds roll away to unveil Gozaisho mountain — my absolute favorite part of this stay @ the hotel Super efficient in room check-in and excellent service. Various dinner options: I was at Sa-la Bianchi Al-che-cciano, cuisine inspired by Masayuki Okuda. Can go to the public bath Agua Ignis but I had no motivation to leave. Food & drinks. They have several restaurant options: I love many fusion restaurants in Japan (i.e. Italian /French food using Japanese ingredients ) but found locavore Il-ché-cciano to be decent quality only. Prices. $845 including dinner & breakfast Rating. 4/5 Loved my villa but 1) the Italian dinner was a disappointment, next time I will stick with the Japanese options 2) not too private: villa Tekkei overlooks the river, the Kannon Shoja & community center. Tekkei was also the closest to the Yunoyama Bridge and the main road."

"At this time of year, Mt. Gozaisho is a famous spot for viewing autumn leaves, so traffic jams were expected, but the guests at Saikoyo were able to cross the Kamoshika Bridge, which was a blessing as they didn't get caught in traffic. The building itself seems old, but it seems to have been renovated, and it was well-cleaned and clean. We are a couple who love hot spring trips, and the food here was the best of any recent inn in terms of both quality and quality. Of course, the Matsusaka beef and spiny lobster dinner was good, but we were also surprised by the breakfast. There was a wide variety of dishes, although only a little at a time, which was appreciated by middle-aged and elderly people. It was also nice that there was a free drink bar at the back of the front desk, although it was only available for a limited time. About the hot spring: There is a large public bath in the building, but the open-air bath in the detached building was really good. It was not large, but it had a calm atmosphere surrounded by forest, and my wife said it was very good. There was also a sauna, although it was small. As a sauna lover, I liked that it felt a bit like an outdoor sauna. Room: It was a tatami room, but there were two beds. There was also a large wall-mounted TV, so I was able to relax. One last thing. There were a lot of young employees, and I liked how they all seemed to be very hospitable. I was surprised because I had the image of hot springs being filled with old waitresses. When I spoke to a senior employee, he said that he often takes their opinions into consideration. The menu with our names on it had hand-drawn illustrations of the food and other elements that made a good impression. It had a quality that you don't get at formal, long-established inns. It's very close to the Gozaisho ropeway, so I highly recommend it."
