Incredibile Place in the Bush, staff very friendly, food very food, view very nice. Small things to improve: pillows are too high and a tuk tuk should always be available without calling (there is nothing around walking) . The trasfer to the Airport Is also too expensive.

Un posto tranquillo e bellissimo in cui soggiornare, le camere erano mantenute in ordine. L'intero posto era pieno di piante e alberi, il personale era molto gentile. Mi è davvero piaciuto lì!

Located beside Ashtamudi Lake, it's a great resort to spend a couple of days with family or friends. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. The housekeeping staff Usha and Biji were very friendly and even helped me to drape saree for Onam celebrations. Me and my partner availed the ayurvedic massage facility in the resort. Doctor Reju gave some recommendations based on our health concerns. Special thanks to Anandu and Rakhi who were our massage therapists. We felt rejuvenated after the massage. We booked the pool view villa and had some problems with the room and wifi ( hence I had to take a point away) on day one and they were happy to change the room for us. Special mention to Sanusha, Fazil and Shefin who were in the reception during our stay for all the help.

The property is a must visit !!!!! Very beautiful indeed.If u are looking for a sit back amidst ur hectic schedules ,with the best amenities and scenic views, then guys this is the place! Ms.Leeba attended to all our needs and provided is with the best comfort.

This was our 2nd time to Fragnant nature.Usually we prefer exploring new resort each time,but after our visit in 2023 I asked my husband if he can bring me here again and voila he remembered and booked in advance for our post anniversary celebration. This time we took cottage.No regrets amazing place ,amazing staffs ,ambience,we had spa which made it even better stay,The onam celebration, inam sadya,the sadya was out of the world. I would recommend all if u r looking fr calm peaceful place away frm all kinda noise and stress.Thanks to Sanusha an amazing staff who made sure we were comfortable, Pranav from restaurant who gave proper service with a smile.Hats off to the team

This place is so calm, peaceful and serene. Very well maintained property and humble staff. We stayed in their cottages overlooking the backwaters. It's a beautiful stay. I took a spe session where doctor heard and understood the pain areas and suggested the massage accordingly. Therapist is well trained and did an excellent therapy. Food quality can be improved. Overall, this resort is worth the stay in almost all the aspects.

In contrast to previous reviews we felt quite uncomfortable at Fragrant Nature Backwater Resort. Based on all the those reviews we decided to make all the long way from Australia to have an authentic ayurvedic experience which is promoted by the resort. Unfortunately our expectations were not met. We booked an ayurvedic "panchakarma" (intense ayurvedic treatment, in this case for 2 weeks). We had several email exchanges with the resort in order to confirm they were capable of offering real Ayurvedic treatment. We both have a life long professional medical background and first hand experience in ayurvedic medicine/panchakarma. The first consultation with the ayurvedic doctor just lasted 10 minutes for the two of us (usually ay least 45 minutes per client). The treatment plan consisted only of some massage. A further plan was given for diet or herbal treatment only after repeated request, but was also only patchy and incomplete and not in line with traditional Ayurveda. I asked for several days for ayurvedic nasal drops for a blocked nose causing me poor sleep. As I was not given anything I walked to town and bought them in a pharmacy. I also asked for a second opinion by an another ayurvedic doctor in town who essentially confirmed that my criticism of our treatment was justified as it does not match common criteria for of ayurvedic medicine. I expressed on several occasions my dissatisfaction with the treatment and wanted to leave the resort with my wife. The manager however declined a compromise and insisted we continue with the treatment. We are saddened about this unfavourable outcome as all the other services at the resort and the extraordinary friendly staff do not deserve such poor rating. Nevertheless we felt locked in in a quite unpleasant situation. We left the resort some days earlier without receiving a refund.

My husband and I had a wonderful (but too short!) visit to Fragrant Nature with another couple. It is hard to overstate how beautiful the setting is - incredibly lush grounds surrounded by water and views from every direction. I wish I’d had more time to just sit (there are many places to sit ***** the water, as well as from room patios) and watch the sunsets, scenery and birds (eagles!) The staff was so friendly and helpful. We had several requests (went kayaking nearby, boat ride, massages) and all were easily accommodated on our schedule. Everyone, from the manager, greeting staff, to the dining room, housekeeping (thank you, Shreela), and numerous groundskeepers were so friendly and helpful. We felt so well cared for and welcomed! We had a delicious dinner and there is a plentiful breakfast buffet. Only regret is that we stayed only 2 nights. There is a lot to do in the area and we easily could have spent more time. I booked this property online directly through their website and they had an attractive deal that I could not resist. There is value for money and the property by itself is a calming one that is located by the backwater lake. It was a serene experience to go for walks around the property, take massages at the Spa, play badminton at their court and just sit by the cafe and experience the beautiful sunset. The rooms are well furnished and spacious with all amenities provided. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. Every room comes with a balcony. There is a pool too that one can enjoy a dip in. Their breakfast and a main meal which was included in our package were delicious and elaborate to suit the palate of one and all. I specifically would like to mention Leeba at the Front Desk and Jeeba at the restaurant who were of incredible help. They always went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Leeba infact arranged for a TukTuk for our trip to the Elephant camp and a Taxi to go to Kovalam. We stayed in Room 101 in the last week of January.
