The Fern, Kolhapur

Being a regular traveller, there is a basic level of service and hospitality that you start expecting because that is what you come across places you stay. The Fern Kolhapur needs just a bit improvement in their service, especially the restaurant. The dinner and breakfast buffet isn't lavish, but has sufficient options for different cuisines. It's the restaurant service that disappointed, especially the morning staff. Rooms are spacious and topped with all daily toiletries that one may need. The arrival gate and the space to disembark from your vehicle is too small to open the door of the car if there is already another car in the lane. Overall a good experience, could have been better for the money that they charge!!

We planned a stopover during our visit to Goa at Kolhapur. This was the Property of Choice. We were here by 3pm and the checkin process was seamless since our booking was confirmed online. The rooms were well equipped, modern and spacious. Although the view was a concrete jungle. We ordered Room Service for dinner and the food quality was good and so was the quantity. The mattresses were descent and the aircon cooled well too. Next day, their Rain Shower in the bathroom was amazing with Good Pressure and Hot Water. Overall, no complaints. Now for the negatives, we had High Tea included in our package and since we travelled a long distance by road, we were in the restaurant by 4pm sharp. We were asked to be seated since they were just starting. They served mixed pakodas which were half cooked. Even the tea we asked was served after 45 minutes. when we raised the issue, the floor executive was rude enough to say that it takes time since kitchen is on third floor. She went on to hold her own claiming we arrived at 4:30. We simply left our meal and visited the city for food. Next day morning breakfast was nothing great. Nobody was really interested to attend to supervision of food quality. Being a religious destination, I feel they should consider keeping an electric vehicle which can ferry their customers to the Temple. This will help reduce traffic and help devotees.

We had great cocktail party , food was good, Satyajeet took care of our group. Rooms were clean and tidy. Satyajeet managed 130 people . took care of our banquet , food, cocktail party and everything else. Also he arranged 4 buses for us which took us to the panhala fort. Overall best stay in kolhapur

Only five star rating we can give. Big size room, hygiene bathroom. Good restaurant and open to sky the London club. Every staff welcomes you with big smile. Satyajeet and Salokhe from the reception were good. Salokhe was too sweet with us and took care of everything. Had a great stay with good location. Near to the Highway.

Stay was really nice. We has group of 60 rooms and every aspects of the services were really awesome. Great stay, great property, nice food. Manager Satyajeet took care of us from booking to banquet and till we go to Panhala fort. Thank you Satyajeet and the Fern Kolhapur

Best hotel I had ever stay. Food was nice, specially chinese. Chef Suraj makes best of the Oriental food. Hazel Suite room is really good. Comes with the sofa cum bed and 4 people can be easily accomodate. Satyajeet took care of my stay , food and also about the sightseeing. We will visit again for sure.
