The Tarna Resort, Koh Tao

What I liked: very comfortable Bed, nice View from the Balcony, quiet Place, relaxed, but small Pool, Breakfast was ok (apart from the Fruit Juices). What you should know: The Seaview Bungalows are located on a steep Hillside, so it´s quite sweatening to walk up there What I did not like: Wifi in my Bungalow (#701) was very weak and very slow so I had to use my SIM card (however other Guests didn´t have that Problem in their Bungalow, Bathroom without a Mirrow, makes shaving a tough Job. Some Guest will probably not like that the Toilet is in a Glasbox. The so-called Fruit Juices for Breakfast were really disgusting (Sugar and some chemical Stuff). Although the Resort was pretty empty, a late check-out at 2pm was not possible (they offered only 1pm)

Loved our stay. Had a fantastic view from our spacious balcony. The room is very modern and super comfortable. Many options available for breakfast, accompanied with great coffee. Staff are friendly and helpful with organizing transport. Cute kittens were a bonus. Would be more than happy to visit again. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at Tarna Align. The staff are so LOVELY, every single one of them, especially to my little girl. It is a little uphill, but it is worth it for the views - the little golf buggy/tuk tuk is great for taking you up and down to the main ***** and we found it was always out and about and we would just jump on and off it. We got a great room with a huge balcony. It was clean and huge. Breakfast was really good, the man at the egg station was lovely and I liked the way you could order coffees, their fresh smoothies were delicious. Although a little uphill from the main ***** I really think you would struggle to get this quality of hotel for the price. Would recommended.

Stayed here on my birthday and was amazing breathtaking views but the hotel is literally built on a cliff

First arrival there was black mould in the bathroom, ants in the room and a tear in the curtain. Naturally I complained but received no apology. The staff member on duty seemed inexperienced and couldn’t offer any solutions. I kindly requested someone come and clean it as there was no other room available. Long story short, I showered in a dirty shower that night. The next day a manager apologised and attempted to resolved the issues to a manageable condition. The manager also made some effort to make me feel better which I appreciated. The room itself I loved, 705 is nice and the views are absolutely stunning. However, the shower needs a deep clean and some maintenance. Also staff need training around hospitality.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely come back. The location is great – you can easily rent a scooter directly from the hotel at a good price. If you prefer walking, it takes about 20 minutes downhill to reach the lively area with lots of restaurants, bars, and shopping options. Our villa with sea view was absolutely beautiful and worth it. The view was stunning, the room was very clean, and housekeeping came every day. Breakfast was tasty and had everything you need, even though it wasn’t very varied. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely book it again on our next visit to Koh Tao.
