Cielo Boutique Hotel & Spa Samui

A tranquil gem of a hotel! We stayed in the 3 bedroom family villa Lucas and absolutely LOVED it! It’s more like an open-air mini complex than a hotel room, with an open air (covered) kitchen diner, private pool in the middle & 3 bedrooms each with their own bathroom & brilliant air con & fans. The hotel staff were extremely friendly & very accommodating- when we booked a day trip with an early start, they arranged for a breakfast box to be delivered the evening before and they arranged a private island tour for us. The restaurant is fantastic- breakfast, lunch & dinner all top quality. You can walk into Fisherman’s village easily- either along the beach or road in about 10-15 mins. Look out for happy hour at the bar- they have some great offers on!

My Partner Hayley and I stayed at Cielo in July of 2024, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The food and drinks were of the highest quality, the rooms were beautiful, and the hotel facilities and amenities were fantastic. The location was great also, close to the airport and local activities such as the Fisherman's Market while still having a quiet stretch of coastline off the main road was fantastic. Above all, the service here was fantastic with the staff extremely welcoming and engaging. Special shout-out to Mark who kept our happy hour Margarita's coming by the pool each day. Can't wait to return!

Fantastic resort just a few steps from fisherman’s village. Modern minimalistic spacious designed rooms and a lovely view of the ocean. You should book a suite it’s totally worth it. Nice little restaurant and a location right in the beachfront. The service from the staff is excellent in every way and the always are just a few steps away with their discreet attention of your needs. If I should wish for something different it would have been a little better selection of the a la carte breakfast. I really miss some slices of ham and cheese and a warm Thai selection. And please - in a hotel like this do not limit the amount of orange juice to one glass. It is a quite expensive stay so it just feels a bit…. If going back to bophut I will definitely go back and they gets my strongly recommendations. Thanks to Kat, Mark and the rest of the team, you shall all be proud of the work you do for making your guests comfortable.

A wonderdul Hotel with excellent staff and great service! Nice spacious suites, luxurious and clean. The guests relation manager provides service in world class, naturally and genuine service. He made our stay really comfortable in the most professional way. We have stayed here for 5 days and I love to come back at some point. Highly recommended!

An excellent small boutique hotel with great design, amazing facilities and excellent service. The rooms are very spacious. The restaurant, which has a beautiful view if the sea serves excellent food. We have enjoyed every moment and can highly recommend it.

Pros: - Small boutique hotel 20 minutes walk from Fisherman village. - Beautiful it is, in the middle of nature with many beautiful trees. Squirrels and birds all around. - View from the pool is nice. - Good for some photos but not more than that unfortunately. - They did an amazing photography job for Booking apps. Cons: - Just reading their responses to bad reviews says a lot. - The concept is amazing but the execution is low budget. - No privacy, the entire space is visible to all who walk by and other rooms. - Be prepared to be woken up every day at 8am by leaf blowers. - Private Pool is anything but private, dirty from tree dropping and was actually a lot smaller than the photos. (They offered to clean it upon request - it needed cleaning every 30 minutes, I declined). - AC only in the upstairs bedroom and it was not keeping up with the weather which is unimaginable in this country. - Ground floor rooms are even less private and with no AC (imagine spending the entire stay with full curtains shut I did as well). - Access road not walkable the beach is even worse. - Small hotel, so every child around feels like 20. For the price they charge and size of the hotel would expect it to be adult only and with better attention to service and comfort. - I wanted to leave or switch rooms but was referred to *********** which the hotel communicated that I refused their offers, which they did not (they offered an extra fan). - Reception manager lied even though they had different accommodation available (you can see on Booking). - Service by the main pool was hard to get, staff would look away or be involved on their phone/each other. No staff member even asks you if you want anything. - Minibar - is room temperature. - No room service - unthinkable! - Wifi - unstable in the upstairs room (the reception manager said they are looking into it and never got back to me) - No door inside the room ever fully closes, balconies empty without furniture or and shade.

Our new favourite Thai hotel and we have been to Thailand more times Han a dozen times. The Cielo is an exceptional Hotel and suited us down to the ground. Rooms are large, simple and elegantly furnished. We didn’t miss not having a tv and it made the week even more relaxing. The garden area with the room we had was very pleasant and the private swimming pool was beautiful. The main pool is perfect, amazing views and a lovely temperature. Sunbeds are so comfortable and never a need to “save” a bed (which we hate). There are beds on the beach too which we didn’t use. Service was exceptional throughout and the couple of niggles that we had with a leaking WC etc were quickly sorted out within no time of reporting. Their maintenance guy is a genius! Staff at the hotel ensure you have a fantastic stay. The restaurant was phenomenal. Two top class evening meals at very fair prices. The chef is excellent. The complementary yoga and Pilates classes were excellent and I am surprised not to have seen this feature in other reviews. It will certainly bring us back. The yoga and stretching classes are at 8 am and 9 am 4 days a week with Pilates on the other 3 days at 9 am. Every instructor was phenomenal. Absolutely top of their profession and each instructor and class were very different to each other. Breakfast was lovely and the Chia pudding addictive! Nice change having it served rather than buffet style, particularly as we often went down late for breakfast after my classes. Fruit varied daily. Potentially a dish of the day would be nice for guests like us who stayed a week. For instance Avocado on toast or yogurt with nuts would be a nice change. We didn’t ask though and suspect that would have been accommodated if we had. Good location too, easy walk into Fisherman’s Village. The hotel gave us good recommendations of what to book pre our arrival such as Jungle Kitchen and Supattra. Hope to get back there over next year or two, missing it already.

Our dissatisfaction is not with the staff or the service, but rather, the subpar room we were assigned. Unit one looks nice and is spacious, but it seems to be next to some sort of water cleaning facility (or sewage pump?) that makes grunting noises which become very noticeable during the quietness of night time and woke us up from our sleep. Worse yet, because it looks like people could get into our unit through the toilet room window, we closed it when we left the room just to notice smell of sewage when we returned into the room later. We only stayed for two nights so we didn't bother asking for a room change, but we did notify the receptionist on our departure so hopefully the problem will either be fixed or the room shouldn't be rented. For those looking for a luxurious experience, note that as a four star establishment, it has a nice beachfront setting if you don't mind passing through a dark and not very pleasant walkway in order to access Fisherman's village through the main road. The included breakfasts are great, however, and the staff are friendly.

I stayed in Duplex Villa 2 for a total of 4 nights . A very cozy , small but not feeling tight at all , elegant and comfortable hotel . The room was beyond pristine and clean , very cute and again , cozy . Food is not typically Thai like everywhere else but genuinely delicious and healthy . Staff was exceptionally helpful in addition to displaying the legendary Thai kindness and softness . Location is ideal to the airport and frankly to many of the best spots on the island . Pool and frontage are rather small but were never busy nor noisy . I would absolutely come back and recommend this hotel for anybody who wants to enjoy the serenity of Samui in a quiet and very cozy environment . Beach is quiet as well which is not always easy to find in Thailand even these days .
