The Deck Cottages Samui

Wife and I visiting the Deck Cottages for two nights. Our private room was spacious and comfortable. Easy check in and hosts were gracious. Room had an area for luggage, king size poster bed with curtains, and a large bathroom/shower. Our room #18 faced the pool directly but with plenty of foliage coverage and good curtains privacy never felt like an issue. Well stocked mini fridge, easy to use safe, and a decent hair dryer rounded out the room. They offer cheap laundry service and bike rentals if you need them. Walking to the night market took 5-10 minutes as the cottages are on the Main Street - but far enough away from town center that we never heard any noise. On the walk to town there’s plenty of bars/restaurants to choose from. Hotel has a bar/restaurant on site that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Drinks were regularly priced and breakfast was good (didn’t eat any other meals there). Our bartender and waiter at the pool were both very pleasant gentlemen from Myanmar. Chatted with us and always came around asking if we needed anything. Bartender suggested a lemongrass margarita for my wife to try - 10/10 would recommend. Our only complaint is that the cottage doors are a little tricky to lock when leaving - so pay attention when your host shows you how. Over all a great experience and we’d definitely stay here again.

The team at the Deck Cottages were simply outstanding- friendly, nothing was a problem. If a problem surfaced with other guests behavior this was handled quickly and professionally. Overall we were there for a total of 5 weeks and the consistency of the quality, service. Can do attitude, and friendliness was so consistent. Definitely coming back.

My partner and I stayed at The Deck Cottages for 3 weeks and honestly didn’t want to leave! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome – always friendly, helpful, and even had a laugh with us by the end of our stay. The property is stunning. The pool area was a dream – never too busy and perfect for unwinding any time of day. The Italian-style menu was a lovely surprise, with so many tasty options for every meal. One small thing to note: we weren’t asked to return our keys at checkout and only realised we still had them once we were at airport security. Something worth remembering when you head out. If you're looking for a peaceful, feel-good spot with charm, great food, and genuinely kind people – this is it.

Fantastic comfortable and chic stay. The rooms are in small contained cottages which was a nice break from large concrete resorts. The pool is beautiful and we found it easy to order drinks etc poolside. Easy to get a poolside seat in the shade. We had breakfast one morning as there wasn’t a lot open early and found it to be great value and quality. Lunch was fantastic. Fantastic mattresses, lots of power points and a really comfortable room. Will definitely be back.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. The pool area is beautiful, very well done. The staff are attentive and the menu is superb. Our lunch was the best meal we've had in Thailand so far. The music was really chilled, the bathrooms were spotless, everything was just perfect. Will be going again every day for the rest of our trip. 10/10. Charlie
