It's okay to stay for a couple of nights. Everything is a bit old, and feels like not very well looked after. There was food residue in kitchen sink drain. Some of the dishes were dirty. No complimentary bottles of water. No shower gel, just a bottle of diluted liquid soap. Pillows aren't good. Also, there's a school nearby so it's noisy from around 8am onwards.

I went here with the intention of staying 2 weeks but I decided I needed to stay 3 as I fell in love with it. The accommodation itself was a spacious bungalow that I had to myself. It was beautiful self contained place with everything i needed and good aircon. I was situated right infront of the stunning and clean pool. Whilst staying there I felt very tucked away from the crazy island but It was less than a 3 minute bike ride to the main shops and food places. Charlie the owner is an incredible guy and very knowledgeable about everything on the island. He is willing to go above and beyond to help anyone that stays at his and it shows as every customer there talks so highly of him. It was an absolute pleasure staying there and I guarantee it will not be my last time.

My stay at Secret Garden is regrettably coming to an end ' Secret Garden ' consists of a most beautiful tropical garden. It is a big surprise when you first enter as you do not expect such a haven of peace and tranquility within walking distance of Thong Sala. I have been here four times and shall miss it when I get back home to England. My bungalow (of which I believe there are 15), is air conditioned, has a beautiful terrace, a large bedroom and wet room, and a well equipped large kitchen. What to me is very important is cleanliness, and my bungalow is exceptionally clean. The swimming pool, within a beautiful setting, is large and well maintained, and it is one of the reasons why I so enjoy my stay. I swim every morning. Charlie the owner/manager, who is very innovative, has made attractive changes to the reception/sitting area and generally around the grounds. There is a new addition, a restaurant. ' NIT'S ' is a Thai restaurant, and although the menu is small, the food Nit serves is simply delicious. The staff at Secret Garden are still the same as before Covid and are warm and friendly. This kind of consistency shows how much Charlie cares for his staff who in turn give his guests excellent service. Charlie himself is very approachable and welcoming, and will help with anything he can. I find the prices remarkable for what you get. I cannot fault Secret Garden in any way and hope to be able to return again in the not too distant future.
