Koggala Beach Hotel

Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.food is very delicious.this is a very beautiful places to stay.the hotel service is very nice.we highly recommended for this hotel local guest.grate location and grate sea view.all rooms are sea view.

We have been to Koggala beach hotel before! The service is great! The breakfast is very varied, you can eat both local and European. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly! They grant you every wish you have! The pool is also big enough. There was a small renovation because the sea was a bit wild, but otherwise you have a great view from your room

My husband and I just spent 21 day’s at Koggala Beach Resort We had a brilliant vacation it is a really beautiful country to visit and there are so many things to see and do The hotel is very quant there wasn’t many guest staying at the hotel so it was very quiet and relaxing vacation The staff are Brilliant always work hard and really pleasant and always helpful they go above and beyond to please you all with a smile The food was excellent so some time they had set menus for lunch which is a great idea and you could chose what you who like to eat it they had it the chef would cook it for you Our room was always done nice everyday and any problems would be sorted out quick We would like a to say the lifeguards really took pride in looking after the pool area and making sure we were comfortable and happy ever day. Had a fantastic massage while we was staying at the hotel at a reasonable costs Our Mercury rep Anadas came to visit us every time he came to the hotel to check that all was well and I we where have a good time We will most definitely be returning to Sri Lanka in future Hopefully when it not monsoon season but the rain didn’t spoil our vacation and we managed to get good tans

Our party of 9 arrived here very tired after a 21 hour journey from the UK. We were greeted by various members of staff with cold refreshments, flowers and an iced towel. Our board was all inclusive and the food was buffet style with traditional dishes as well as western style favourites for both breakfast and dinner. Lunch was a set menu consisting of a starter, main course and a dessert. On most evenings there was a live band playing popular tunes. The all inclusive drinks were local lion beer, spirits and soft drinks which included an island favourite Elephant ginger beer. The reception staff also arranged packed breakfasts and lunches on the days we were going out early on excursions. The rooms were basic, but we did have a balcony, air conditioning, a fridge, in room safe and tea/coffee facilities. There was also a candle with matches, which I'm guessing was for power outages. Flowers were left each evening on our bed by the maid, a nice touch and there is a facility to have your dry cleaning done at very reasonable prices. The hotel was very quiet as it was the second monsoon season, there are two banks located across the street and the local bus to Galle stops close by to the hotel. There is a large pool and a smaller one at the bottom end of the hotel. The best part about staying at this place is the incredible staff, who always meet you with a warm smile and nothing is too much trouble, we were late getting back one evening and we all thought we had missed dinner as the restaurant should have closed, but we were greeted back by various team members to tell us they had waited for us and food was still available. A truly exceptional team and one of the best I have come across in my years of travelling, a credit to the hotel.

The hotel is a bit outdated, there is some mold in the bathroom and the ants were quite annoying, but in general housekeeping is doing an excellent job. The staff, especially housekeeping is super friendly, everyone smiling makes you feel welcomed. The breakfast food is bland and very repetitive, the best choice was fruit. The coffee is absolutely disgusting. The restaurant food is unfortunately not any better, iced coffee was served with lemon and did looked more like a Long Island ,the taste was horrid💀. The hotel is situated in a very nice location and surroundings are well maintained. I’d probably go back again, just definitely with no “all inclusive” as food and drinks need a lot of improvement.
