The people and their service is really good. They are sweet and make you feel comfortable and welcome. Big thanks to the gardening team, housekeeping team, Ebi, Dr Aparna, concierge and the restaurant staff. They always show up with a smile. Dinner was an all inclusive (unlimited) from the a la carte menu and the food was mild in terms of flavour. I guess we have to mention how strong of a flavour profile we prefer. Although the breakfast buffet had some wonderful options, we did notice that the spread was far too small compared to any other breakfast buffet we have had (Tamara Coorg comes to mind). It is definitely expensive but the infrastructure, cleanliness and the staff make it worth the money. I would suggest to skip the restaurant if you are on a budget

The experience at Sterling Kodai Lake was a pleasant one. The property is a well maintained one, rooms are spacious and well done up. The staff is helpful and accomodative. Special mention to Tiyasha from the front office for being super helpful while allocating the room - got a view with a great view (lake view). Prabha too was helpful. Nice experience staying here.

We had a very good experience at Hotel Jai, Kodaikanal. The rooms do not a have mountain/valley view, but the surroundings are pleasant and photogenic. Our Heritage Suite was a spacious and comfortable room. Less natural light in this room. However, we saw some other rooms with good sunlight, nice wooden furniture. Breakfast was delicious. Buffet style, good authentic south Indian delicacies, different each day, with some common items like idli, dosa, medu vadas (best medu vadas- small, light and crispy!) A different sweet dish everyday (varieties of sheera). Dinner was good. Should have some fixed staple items always, like dal+rice. But whatever was served was good. Hospitality: always responded well on time whenever we placed a call to ask for something. Staff is good natured, always smiling and helpful. Reception is very helpful. We requested booking of sight seeing and cab services and promptly the cab was ready each day, on time. Wifi is also good. Thank you for giving us a great experience at Kodaikanal! The road to Country Club Valley Vista is incredible. You'll get a spectacular city view from the Kodai main road to the club. Ample parking space, the club staff is polite and caring, and the room is well-ventilated and maintained. You get ample balcony space from which you can witness a magnificent valley view, you can enjoy the mist during the late evening (6 pm), and beautiful sunrise in the early morning (6 am). The food is tasty you get an option of a buffet as well as a la carte, and they take 30 minutes to prepare fresh food. They serve food in the room as well as they have a designated beautiful dining area. I recommend trying out the dining area, the ambiance is very majestic. You can take a walk down the road and enjoy the scenic view.

The location of the property is towards back side of lake and it is far from main market. It is decent location and view from balcony is good. Play area for kids were missing which were available in neighborhood properties. Property is neat and clean and well managed. Unluckily the commode seat was broken in the attached bathroom, but ir was pretty clean. Complementary breakfast was kind of south indian breakfast with not much options. Dinner(paid service) was good.

We booked for 3d2n executive room. Even though the room was neat, the bathroom wet areas were unusually slippery. My wife slipped away and fell down. She had head injury and 2 stitches at the KHMS hospital close to this property. When asked them about the condition of the washroom, they simply tried to make reasons and get away with it. While Mr Satish found out the aftermath of the fall, I asked him to arrange rubber mat for the washroom which he did. On the third day of check out, parking was a big time issue. They collect your car keys to re-park the car as required. DO NOT HAND OVER THE KEY to the security guy. Their unskilled driver parked my car right next to the concerete footpath leaving a 10-15 CM long scratch with dent. The unskilled and unprofessional manager of the resort on duty came and applied tooth paste and started rubbing off the scratch. The fellow says apply mobil lubricant oil and it will go away. He says I cannot say anything to the driver who was responsible for this. So he just apologized and walked away. SUCH A PATHETIC experience and no customer service. Unprofessional and unattended attitude. Having gone to kodaikanal to celebrate my wifes bday, everything went into vain and loses. I have proofs to declare these sorts of uncalled service offered. The so called General Manager is not at all fit to perform the duty ot attend to a customers query for an issue caused by themselves. Instead of finding a solution he was more keen yo conceal their mistake and left us there just like that. Location wise this place is good. Other hotel staffs were friendly. For their mustakes I had to pay everything including fixing my car. Im a frequent traveller and vlogger and have stayed in tons if properties and always I have encouraged to share good review. But this will always be unforgetable memory for me and my family. Doctor had advised to take an MRI scanning. One week down the Journey, the pain around the head still exists. MRI scanning result is awaited
