Hotel in zona Khao Mai Khew Cave, Distretto di Ko Lanta

We spent 11 night here with my husband and 9-year-old son, and we all really loved the place! We stayed at the Pond room, and even had a partly sea view. I highly recommend booking Pond room instead of little cheaper Deluxe room. Pond rooms are all close to the pool and other services, whereas Deluxe rooms can be really high up the hill. We are not afraid of hills or steps, but even for us climbing all the way up felt quite exhausting (we did this once). Good: - The room was always clean and with good amenities. - Nice pool area(s) - Thaiboxing facilities a nice extra - Really good breakfast with anything you can ask for. Cappuccino etc. can be ordered (free). - You can walk (15min?) to nearby beach with many restaurants (you do need some adventurous mindset and a good flash light in the evening, though). You just need to locate the small wooden bridge and ignore the gaps :D - Nice restaurants short drive away (Coco Tango our absolute favorite with stunning view at sunset), drivers always flocking outside the resort gate. - Also some casual restaurants on walking distance and even right across the gate. - The spa was divine (though really, really expensive on Thai standards - one hour massage was something like 50 € with the happy hour discounts 😅) Not so good: - The bed is HARD. I mean _really_ hard. I was really surprised to find the bed to be such poor quality in a five star resort. I was sore the whole stay as it was impossible to sleep nicely. Even though I loved the place, this is the reason I would not return --＞ So, if someone at the hotel is reading this, please do invest in softer mattresses! (or even soft mattress topper) Good to know: - The monkeys invaded the resort area few days before we left. The staff did their best to keep them out, but still we had few encounters with aggressive monkeys, one of them even flashing teeth and rushing towards our son. I know, we're in the tropics and this could happen, but just to let you know to be cautious. - Some places were a little worn out (e.g. our terrace wooding was partly falling apart), so if you are looking for shiny and new, you might find these small flaws disturbing (we didn't mind). - Prices for food and drink are high (as one can expect in a five star place). - It is quite far away from Saladan, which is good to know if you for example dive (boats leave from Saladan, but dive shops do arrange the transportation, you'll just be the first and the earliest to be picked up) All in all, I do recommend this place, I just hope they would fix the bedding. It was really uncomfortable even on thai standards (we have been staying in much cheaper places with decent mattresses). Luckily there was heavenly spa that helped with the aching muscles 😜

Il resort è molto bello. E’ super tranquillo, pulito e ha molto tutto quello che ti serve per godere del soggiorno. Naturalmente, poiché è difficile assumere più personale durante la pandemia, la pulizia e la cucina delle camere hanno preso comprensibilemente più tempo. Sarebbe bello tenere questa mente se ordinate servizi in camera. IVA, c'è un bel caffè chiamato Smoon vicino all'hotel. Abbiamo trascorso molto tempo li per caffè, colazione di stile occidentale e pranzo. Il resort ha una spiaggia privata, ma è il migliore per il caiacchino, non per la nuoto o per la snorkeling. Ci sono troppe roccia vicino alla spiaggia e la visibilità dell'acqua non era auspicabile durante il nostro soggiorno. La spiaggia è buona per guardare il sole, tuttavia. Per coloro che viaggiano con bambini piccoli, è un buon posto trovare crab hermit. Per i consigli, le camere con vista sulla piscina sono in un nuovo edificio che offre spazio più grande e migliori disegni interni. Le villa di fronte al mare hanno una migliore vista, ma richiedono un salto forte per arrivare.

This is a lovely hotel and a great relaxed resort. The best of both worlds. Room: We came for a family holiday (kids age 12,11,7) had a 2 bedroom villa, which was a good set-up. Nice size pool between the two rooms. Beach villa 507/507. 2 mins walk to the beach. Youngest slept in our room as worried about passing the pool in the night, but we knew this beforehand. Probably the best room set-up and location we’ve ever had. Pleased with this. Lots of wildlife.. monkeys, monitors, frogs.. we loved this. Food: we had Thai buffet which was good. Great selection at breakfast. Aside from this, we ate at local restaurants- which were very good. Head out of the hotel and turn right. At the end of the beach there is a little village - lots of little restaurants. All very quiet due to lack of tourists following covid. Don’t be put put off by the quietness. Everything is fresh and delicious and you will be totally spoilt. I really hope tourism recovers a little here - the local people are desperately in need of it. ‘Same but different’ shack on beach (out of. Hotel and turn left) is small, but good food for lunch. Rice and noodle dishes, stir/fry, fries, very reasonably priced Lassis/soft drinks and beer. We ate here every lunchtime as it was close to our villa and couldn’t have asked for better. Beach: The beach is public, but Pimalai side is very quiet. Complimentary kayaks and paddle boards etc. we had a lovely family time. Excursions: hotel organised excursions are great and reasonably priced. We did morning mangrove tour - our tour guide (Gun) was superb. We also went on sunset cruise with snorkelling - also great! Downside: On check-in, we had no orientation and very little info about the hotel when we arrived. We were told everything was on the app. However, there was no internet in the room when we arrived (I think an external problem) so we couldn’t access it. We felt a little deserted. This was not a big deal - but we had no map or any real info about the hotel and surrounding area. It took 2 phonecalls to reception to explain we had no idea where I’m the resort we actually were, and no idea how to get to restaurants/no idea of food choices at hotel. They brought us a map. We arrived in the late afternoon after a long journey from London via Phuket. Nobody suggested where we go for food. Nobody asked if we wanted to make a reservation to eat. We headed out of the room to find food- with 3 very grumpy, tired and hungry kids. We found that there was a Thai buffet at the hotel - but only knew about this as it was on the route out of our room to the lobby. Nobody mentioned this when we checked in and we wouldn’t have known if we were staying anywhere else on the resort. Advice for people with kids— avoid top section of resort/hillside if you want to be near beach. It’s a bit more of a trek. Both pools are lovely and nicely shaded. Overall a lovely stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Abbiamo avuto un buon soggiorno all'hotel prima di tornare questa volta quando abbiamo visitato Koh Lanta per immergersi. Non possiamo commentare il colazione perché non abbiamo incluso questa opzione. - Il personale è molto gentile e amichevole. - Ascolta davvero il feedback - l'ultima volta che ho suggerito ai distributori d'acqua di risparmiare su plastica, quando siamo tornati per questo viaggio (solo due settimane dopo) c'era ora uno su ogni piano! Questo è stato meraviglioso e sono così felice che l'hotel sta prendendo dei passi per essere più ecologico, quindi grazie! - La stanza era molto più grande di quanto sembra, e ha un grande ufficio con una sedia. - Una connessione Wi-Fi forte e affidabile. - Molto pulito. - Nella nostra precedente missione, siamo stati in grado di controllare in anticipo a nessun costo aggiuntivo che apprezziamo veramente :) - La stanza è dotata di un frigo. - Molto vicino a un 7-eleven e a pochi ristoranti, anche se non siamo andati a quella particolare spiaggia è anche vicino a una spiaggia, situato in una zona più tranquilla nel centro dell'isola rende facile visitare il nord e il sud (ma, La posizione richiede che tu abbia una moto per andare in giro!). - Buona, forte condanna aerea. - Il valore per i soldi è molto buono. L'unico negativo durante il nostro soggiorno è che in un momento le scarpe del mio ragazzo non erano trovate in nessun posto nel lobby, (come per la cultura thailandese, devi lasciarli fuori prima di entrare nella casa degli ospiti), e si è rivelato che un altro ospite / vicino li aveva ”prestiti”. Fortunatamente, erano andati solo al negozio e quindi non siamo stati senza le scarpe per molto tempo, ma non era ancora ideale ... Non è colpa del proprietario, Ma forse un segno che chiede alla gente di non farlo? In generale, abbiamo avuto un grande soggiorno e sicuramente ritorneremmo se visitassimo Koh Lanta di nuovo!

We stayed here in early January. The room was a good size with plenty of storage space (and we don't travel lite),the bathroom was also a good size, we stayed in a luxury bungalow near the beach. There was lots of choice of food at breakfast time including Thai. The staff at breakfast were always checking that the food containers were full, a member of the staff we got talking to was a lovely man called P Lung and he also speaks very good English, he spoke to us most days. We had a few minor problems during our holiday but when we reported them to reception they were dealt with very quickly indeed. I would like to make a constructive comment or two, I think that every pair of sunbeds should have an umbrella with them and also to releive the pressure on the pool near the restaurant (nearly all the sunbeds were taken by 9.00am) more sunbeds and umbrellas could be put around the newer pool as I only counted 9 pairs of sunbeds and 4 umbrellas with lots of unused space. The 7.00am to 7.00pm rule should be strictly enforced. This hotel overall is good value for money but very popular with families with children who some parents allow them to run around and make a lot of noise without telling them to be a little bit more quiet.

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel per 3 notti con la mia ragazza. In primo luogo, il personale sul desk era molto accogliente, raccoglieva le nostre valigie dalla porta e li consegnava alla nostra stanza. La stanza era spaziosa, pulita e molto comoda. La piscina e la spiaggia erano a 2 minuti a piedi dalla nostra porta e il ristorante della spiaggia serve un'ottima cena. Non c'erano problemi durante il nostro soggiorno e sono riuscito a noleggiare una bicicletta dalla ricezione dell'hotel che arriva in 5 minuti, che è stato anche un servizio molto efficiente. Poco dopo aver controllato il manager dell'hotel (non ha mai avuto il suo nome) mi ha e-mail per dire che ho riuscito a lasciare la mia camera da 300 € in camera. Mi ha ordinato di ritrovare la macchina fotografica e di fare lo sforzo di involucro della bolla, e di boxare la mia macchina fotografica per essere consegnata a Koh Phi Phi lo stesso giorno, e mi ha ordinato in ogni fase per tenermi in giù per quanto riguarda la mia macchina fotografica. Una volta che la telecamera è arrivata sull'isola, mi ha chiamato a dirmi dove potevo raccoglierlo. Questo livello di servizio al cliente non può andare inconsapevole e ha chiesto nulla in cambio. Non posso incoraggiare i viaggiatori a rimanere in questo hotel. Ritorno al 100%. Grazie mille Lanta Staff & Manager!

Ci siamo trasferiti al resort dopo un'altra esperienza non proprio positiva per una notte su un'altra spiaggia. Il resort è ben posizionato sulla spiaggia, pensiamo sia la migliore in cui soggiornare se non si desidera un'esperienza estremamente tranquilla. È anche situato in una posizione comoda vicino alla città. La colazione a buffet è molto buona, le aree piscina sono fantastiche e anche la spiaggia. Il ristorante offre una cena a buffet che penso debba essere riconsiderata. Non abbiamo provato la palestra o i servizi di massaggio che sembravano costosi. Il resort è molto verde e il lato positivo è che hanno qualche lucertola varana residente che a volte danno da mangiare vicino all'area della colazione. Le camere sono ok ma non fantastiche e potrebbero forse essere pulite più a fondo. Tuttavia, dopo aver pensato di rimanere 4 notti, ci siamo fermati 4 notti, quindi è stata una bella esperienza dopo tutto. Inizialmente non eravamo rimasti molto colpiti dall'isola, ma ci è piaciuta e ora ci piace molto, così come la sua atmosfera lungo la spiaggia di notte.

We chose Twin Lotus because it is adults only. It was romantic, peaceful, lovely, and we will definitely go back. We selected a room in the back as it was cheaper and we did not need to be on the beach. There are several,pools to choose from. The ine at the beach can get filled by 0830 but we always managed to get chairs with an umbrella. If you do not occupy your chair they remove the towel but leave your belongings. We took chairs that had a book on the side table. The book owner came and we explained no towels were on the chair. She knew the rules and said she would choose a beach chair instead ( along the beach are chairs but no umbrellas). We were thrilled she was so nice. The breakfast buffet is standard and plentiful. All the choices were delicious. No flies or ants anywhere. You may see an occasional meandering water monitor but they walk past you. The gym is immaculate and adequately equipped. The spa is wonderful with well- trained staff. We had dinner there a few times and the food was very good. There are places in the little streets behind the hotel and along the beach and next door, but Twin Lotus food was better though a bit more costly. Happy Hour drinks were good. We had a Go Dive snorkel dive tours to Koh Haa and a car ride to Old Town. Recommend both. The people in Old Town were exceptionally nice and the little museum is quaint. Eateries along their street are good. Allow two hours for Old Town not including the drive to and from. The next time we stay at Twin Lotus we will go to Phi Phi but have been before. Twin Lotus has many books to borrow located inside breakfast restaurant, There are buggies to drive you to and from your room or villa if you have mobility issues. Do not bring glass bottles or glass to the swimming pool. Any wait staff will give you a plastic mug or ”glass” to drink your beer or drink in the pool or at the pool. Please read the rules at pool entrance and follow them to keep yourself and others safe. The resort is mostly European people and everyone, young couples and older ones, singles, and all were cordial and respectful.

Sincèrement je n’arrive pas à comprendre comment cet hôtel peut obtenir en date d’aujourd’hui sur Booking une note générale de 8.5, à mon avis ça ne mérite qu’un 6. Il est vrai que le tarif de ses chambres standards n’est pas très élevé, mais maintenant je comprends pourquoi. Les installations sont vétustes, l’entretien générale est vraiment pas top et le propriétaire aurait tout intérêt à rafraîchir l’immeuble avant de perdre complètement la clientèle. Lors de notre check-in, 3 ampoules non fonctionnelles, une douchette cassée, une bouilloire brisée et ce sans parler des trous et des bris un peu partout dans la chambre. Lors de notre passage, ils ont complètement perdu l’eau de la piscine principale qui est devenue toute verte. Comme mentionné dans d’autres commentaires, il est vrai que le personnel est vraiment très sympathique et toujours souriant, mais on dirait qu’ils ne voient pas ce qu’il y a à faire. Lors de notre séjour, il y avait plus de personnel que de clients sur place, mais ils semblaient plus intéressé par les réseaux sociaux que par les travaux à faire. La plage face à l’hôtel est très belle mais difficilement baignable à cause des marées importantes. Le déjeuner manque vraiment de variété pour un séjour de plus de 2 jours.

Abbiamo soggiornato qui 1 notte per prolungare il nostro viaggio a Ko Lanta, avremmo voluto rimanere di più! La signora alla reception è stata paziente e disponibile con noi, molto amichevole. La camera è deliziosa, bel bagno e doccia. Il letto è comodo ed era anche molto silenzioso e l'illuminazione nella camera era davvero bella. Vivamente consigliato di soggiornare qui, anche per periodi più lunghi. Entrambe le piscine sono belle per nuotare, la vista è incredibile. Il ristorante era delizioso, ottimo servizio e cibo. Il bar accanto è bello per guardare il tramonto e gustare cocktail. Inoltre, noleggiano scooter, ti aiutano a ottenere trasferimenti in tuk tuk o barche, molto utile. 5/5.
