Check in at Ancient Lore Village was easy and we were assisted by staff in getting our luggage up the hill to the Fairy Family Cottage. The landscape on the property is phenomenal, including the area in front of the cottage. We wish there had been some chairs outside the cottage as the weather was comfortable (except for the tornado warning). The room was attraction with a queen bed and two singles. The AC did not cover the room equally as one part of the room was cold and another hot. The room temperature did effect how we slept. We enjoyed a meal on the evening we arrive which was delicious. We had breakfast on the morning we left and it was hearty and sufficient. The hiking trails need some work and were muddy when we went out to walk. I would recommend this venue as a special place to get away.

Beautiful and fun place to visit! They really took time with every detail of the rooms and village. The staff is all super friendly and helpful. The archery and axe throwing was a highlight for us, but we also loved the hiking, food, and games available. Highly recommend visiting here!

Amazing location, beautiful in too many aspects to detail. Upper echelon staff, super helpful! Food is incredible and the hiking trails are GORGEOUS! To, I say, and ESCAPE for a wee while!

Recently spent 2 nights in an Elven Treehouse and loved it!!! The property is absolutely pituresque with plenty of space to roam freely about. The gardens are beautiful and so serene. Lots of yard games and hiking trails.Highly recommend the axe and archery. Staff was super friendly. Had both breakfast and dinner and do recommend getting them. They only downside is that the property isn't very handicap friendly and could be a problem for some. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

Went for Sunday brunch. Village was neat and we enjoyed seeing inside some of the rooms. The brunch buffet was just okay. Food seemed to be hotel breakfast food with nothing special or homemade. I expected more with the &40 per person price and the touting of an award winning executive chef.

not impressed. food was adequate at best. for the breakfast, they measure out the eggs to put on your plate and count the bacon you get - 2 slices. my husband asked for extra eggs and was told no. our room was extremely noisy. loud banging noise over our room all night long. we communicated with the staff during the night. my husband finally went above us and found the issue. it was a loose large post falling down in the wind that was on a plastic cover. ever time the wind blew, the large post would get lifted up and slammed down. staff was not accommodating to handicap people and I had to push to get rides in a golf cart around the property. the staff is very rigid and not helpful. I would not recommend

Ancient Lore Village was a truly magical experience for our couple's getaway - tucked into gorgeous, serene, and peaceful Knoxville forest, we came upon a meticulously crafted fantasy village that could have been straight out of a fantasy game or book (the latter of which it indeed was based on). Among the village, a huge pollinator garden has been planted, so our entire stay was set to the sound of birds singing, and a wonderful calm forest-quiet. We stayed in one of the elven treehouses, and had the best sleep of our lives warm and cozy in the 'treetops' with a beautiful stove inside and the sounds of a spring thunderstorm outside. The trails were beautiful, full of beautiful wildlife and spring flowers touched by dew, the archery lots of fun, and the dinner just right - I could imagine the same hearty meal being served up at the Prancing Pony. A tip for if you get the book 'Lokee's Trek' that the village is based on - the magic is in the last two chapters.

We attended the Easter Brunch event, and it was fabulous. The food was delicious. Every year we select a location that is having an Easter Brunch. We picked Ancient Lore Village, even though we had never been there. We had seen local news articles about this unique place, were curious, and when we became aware that they were doing a brunch, we selected it as our place to go to. We were not disappointed. As mentioned, the food was fantastic. Our entire family went back to the selections for a second helping. The service was also exemplary. We would like to give a shout out to two individuals. To Dalton who took the time to make arrangements for my 93-year-old mother to be able to participate in the tour of the resort. He went out of his way, and we are extremely grateful. And, to Tom Boyd, the developer of Ancient Lore Village. He visited with us several times and gave us some behind the scenes information on the resort. As a special touch, he dedicated one of the books he wrote, Bokee's Trek, to our family. An amazing man. We gave our experience 5 Stars, and if there were 10 stars available, we would have given it 10 Stars.

Ancient Lore Village provided an unforgettable experience! The food was absolutely delicious, the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, and the activities like axe throwing and archery were thrilling and unique. I highly recommend this magical retreat for an amazing stay!
