Mare Paphos

酒店位置很好 海景優美 唯一不足的是入住後發現酒店地板打掃不是很乾凈 入住的兩天 風比較大 酒店玻璃隔音不太好 能聽到海風和海浪的聲音哈

Second visit to this hotel. First was in August last year. Hotel was a little quieter this time around (Easter holidays) but staff levels were down that much you was queuing by the pool for drinks whereas last year there was more people but more staff so you was getting served a lot quicker. Can’t blame the staff they work so hard. Food again was okay, I’m a fussy eater so I can’t really complain. Snack bar is probably the best I’ve been too. Great facilities and views. Location could be slightly better, a little closer to the harbour and the centre of paphos. There is a bus stop outside so this helps. We had some cockroaches in the room (1216). Last year nothing and I’ve been to Cyprus 5 times and never once seen them. Plenty of lizards but not cockroaches. They seemed to be coming from the AC. Was reported twice but nothing really got done about it. I would stay again in a few years just not in room 1216 or anywhere on that floor! Would have been 4/5* if not for the certainly puts me off unfortunately.

One word… WOW! We arrived late and had been given the most fabulous room on the same level as reception with a huge terrace, day bed and spectacular views of the view. Sandwiches and snacks also in our room on arrival. The whole experience with this hotel was nothing short of amazing. The staff really make this hotel special, they are so wonderful and take such good care of everyone. Nothing is too much trouble. Special shoutout to Stella at the adults only pool bar, she looked after us every day and worked so hard keeping everyone happy. The staff in the buffet restaurant and the terrace on an evening also deserve a special mention as they were great and very attentive. The food is, in my opinion, second to none. I really cannot understand how anyone would have anything to complain about. Considering this is an all inclusive buffet style restaurant, the food was fresh, tasty and had so much variety. There was never a day where we couldn’t find something to eat. The snack bars around the pools are also fantastic and we used these regularly throughout the day. Again, quality was not compromised here and the snacks available were lovely. All inclusive drinks and cocktails also fab, we have no complaints whatsoever about them. The evening entertainment… we always watched the shows put on by the hotel and listened to the musicians playing in the lobby terrace area. We were never once bored and always enjoyed them. I think it depends what you want from a holiday but we always had a great time on an evening which wasn’t impacted by the lack of entertainment. The poolside party on a Sunday was so much fun. The sunbed issue is the only thing that I think let the experience down slightly but this isn’t the fault of the hotel. I don’t understand why people want to wake up at the crack of dawn to put towels on sunbeds when they don’t end up using them until midday. It’s completely selfish and the problem is entirely on them. Whilst frustrating, we did always manage to find a sunbed around 9am (despite the vast majority of them being taken) but there was only two of us. I dread to think what it’s like with parties made up of multiple individuals or during school holidays! We really did have such a wonderful holiday and would not hesitate to return to this hotel. It really does deserve its 5 stars in my opinion.
