I booked a two night stay as a treat to myself as I was attending 'The Korgis' gig within the hotel known as 'The back of the green'. This intimate space holds about 118 people so it is rally is an up close and personal experience!!! The band put on a fantastic show with Marley Davidson excelling himself as support. On arrival I was warmly greeted by Lewis who provided me with everything I needed to know. Very professional young man. I had some pre gig beers in the bar adjacent to the venue which was surrounded by a lot of musical legends signed 'scratch boards?' from their guitars. I espyed Kris Kristofferson. Ry Cooder and Neil Young but there were tons more ! The bar was in the good and very able hands of two young ladies whose names have escaped me ! They were both very approachable and made you feel welcome and at ease. The original room I was in was a lovely room but unfortunately the motion censored security lights disturbed my sleep. My pillows were too flat for me too but when I explained these issues Lewis changed rooms for me and I was provided with plump pillows with no fuss at all. I booked breakfast at£12.00. It was a buffet banquet !!! with hot food as well as the usual continental fare. I bought a Chinese takeaway and while I could not eat it in the hotel restaurant I was provided with a plate and cutlery. All the staff I interacted with were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is still going strong amazing when you think it was built as a coaching Inn around the1700's ? There are some areas that could benefit from touch ups but for me the lovely attitude of the staff would bring me back again. Take a bow all at Green Hotel. Linda

Devondale Place was a great find. Needed to be near family for funeral & needed more than a motel could offer. The house was lovely & cosy. Kitchen was well stocked so we could cook a proper meal. Washing machine & dishwasher well used. Bedrooms comfortab
