Wonderful sea facing suite on the first level with great views over the bay and beyond to Mustique! The resort is well appointed with great staff who attend to your every need. Friendly and courteous they are what makes the resort so special. Situated on the Atlantic side in the middle of Friendship's bay sandy beach the Resort also has a sister beach bar -Jacks- over the hill on Princess Margarets beach which is the Caribbean Sea side where the sea is clearer, calmer and good for snorkelling.

Bequia Beach Hotel is the warmest and most welcoming hotel in which we have ever stayed. They made us feel like family, and made our three-year old daughter so happy over the holidays with their Christmas celebration. The hotel itself is wonderful; comfortable spacious rooms, beautiful pools, and great food. This is a place to which we will return again and again.

We stayed in a classic room which was very nice. It is up a few steps and I can see that some would struggle but it was absolutely fine for us. The room was clean and furnished well. The resort is looking a little tired and probably needs a makeover but it is in a lovely position. The staff are friendly and helpful but there probably isn't enough staff as service can be slow. its a small island so all hotels must be competing for the same staff! this is a proper Caribbean island so don't expect its a luxury 5 star resort because it is not. It certainly is the best hotel on the island and it charges premium rates. We ate a few times in the main restaurant the food was good but lacked variety it is trying to be a top quality restaurant and its nearly there! but lacks on the service. The most disappointing aspect of the hotel is the breakfast! its a buffet breakfast that you would find in any 2 or 3 star hotel anywhere in the world. its very below average! The Italian restaurant is far better, but also lacks variety. Drinks and food are very expensive, if you are just on a bed and breakfast tariff . A couple of other issues -if you are into the gym- its poor with broken equipment, and the weekly yoga sessions are repetitive and old fashioned, perhaps behind the times! but these wouldn't bother most guests. There is also guests putting towels on sunbeds early morning and leaving them there all day- even if they are not using them- its like a thing just to have it in case you want to use it later in the day ?? I didn't expect this! but how the staff can police it -I have no idea! Bequia is a lovely island and relatively unspoilt we will certainly be going back. overall the hotel is lovely a few minor improvements will make it a quality luxury resort

Great location with very well appointed accommodation and friendly staff. Food and and drink prices high and restaurant service patchy - but definitely improving! Make use of the hotel shuttle to the other side of the island to visit Port Elizabeth and the beaches.

Having read the positive reviews we were excited to go. However this hotel is average at best and I have no idea why people make the journey. As others have said the staff are wonderful, friendly and good at their jobs. However the food is so bland and boring. Breakfast buffet is one of the worst we have experienced. Eggs were terrible, little choice of fruit or pastry options and cooked food which looked awful, we couldn’t bring ourselves to try it. We stayed in a cottage which was spacious. It’s was also very dusty and stains on all the furniture. The bed was not very comfortable and we didn’t want to walk across the stained rugs without shoes on. The curtains were very thin so no chance of staying asleep once the sun came up. (At 6am) The pool was nice with good sun beds. The beach was very windy and the beds needed a good clean. The bar was not very good and it’s fair to say cocktails were not made with much love. Most guests were in the late 70’s or 80’s and seem to love it. However it’s not up to modern standards at all.

Beachfront rooms are highly recommended. Our housekeeper Donna was really great as our room was kept immaculate. Dining servers were very friendly but at first was sporadic but improved dramatically after the new hired GM Katie arrived. In general the food was great especially when the chefs came around to check on how was everything. Since we stayed for three weeks, the menu was the same each week. I would recommend the dinner menu changes slightly each week. Since there are three types of reservations at the resort, the servers have way too much of paper work to perform which is very cumbersome. The all inclusive option with drinks includes only some of the liquors which I found very disappointing especially the additional cost of the package. Overall the pools, beach, and grounds were very nice. On a side note you will not be bothered by outsiders on the beach trying to sell their wears which is very nice. Leaving the resort was not easy as the staff and management were very friendly and responsive. We hope to come back next year as we really liked our stay.

This is a place that epitomizes what great services should be. It comes from the top down and the bottom up. The management is so nice that you really feel sad leaving. But you can solve that easily enough by going back. So until next time Bum Bum.

The people are lovely - so cheerful and helpful. Reception, room, pool, bar, grounds and overall ambiance are also great and the beach is beautiful white sand. However, there are two flies in the ointment. First - flying from the UK, don't assume you will get there in a single day. Bequia airport is not lit, so if you get any delay to your transfer from UK, you'll have to stay overnight elsewhere. Then, the next day flight to Bequia from Barbados leaves quite late, so almost another day is lost. Repeat stayers we spoke to now always plan on it taking two days to get there. Second - the food service in the Bagatelle restaurant is really poor. Breakfast - you get taken to your seat and asked what you want to drink but nothing turns up. When you do get something, you will continually have to chase for a refill. The breakfast buffet is almost always lacking plates, bowls and glasses, as is the bread for toast. Dinner is almost worse - courses come out of order, can take 45+ minutes to arrive, drinks don't arrive until you've nearly finished your main course and I got a least one plateful that was more school dinner than restaurant quality. I spoke to a number of other guests and their experience was much the same. And yet everyone is so cheerful and helpful! How can the service be so bad when there is such a cheerful workforce? Rather spoilt our holiday.

A lovely relaxing holiday, with the hotel having beautiful gardens, two pools and the beach. We stayed in a beach front room which was well worth the cost, it was big, spacious and comfortable, with the patio to sit out on and enjoy the sea view. The food was great despite being repetitive but then if you want to adventure to the other restaurants nearby you can. The staff are polite and friendly and will do anything to please. A charming hotel in Bequia
