The ferry to the island was cancelled two days running so we were unable to visit. We had booked and paid for 3 nights and the cabins took all our money. They said we had given them less than 24 hours notice so were not entitled to any refund. What if we had booked for a week? Would they think it's reasonable to take a week's rental? I could understand forfeiting one night's rental. We have contacted them and the agent we booked through with no result. My advice? make two bookings: the first for one night only and the second for the remainder of your stay so that you only forfeit one night's rent if the ferry is cancelled at short notice.
