What a beautiful and charming hotel! Annette, Paul, and her family show pride of place with this beautiful location, brimming with old world charm and yet modern comfort and conveniences. Our rooms were large and well appointed, immaculately clean with a huge soaking tub and oversized, separate shower in each bathroom (we booked 2 rooms - one for us and one for our older teens). Water pressure was amazing and the ability to open the windows in our room and allow the cool, delicious Irish breeze to drift in from the field behind this hotel into the sitting area in our room was such a treat. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Annette and our bags were taken by Jack, Annette and Paul's son, to our rooms. The view from the front of Loch Lein was absolutely breathtaking and our hosts were kind enough to seat us for our first breakfast right next to the large, beautiful windows in the dining room. And they served us such tasty food, sourced from local vendors, so everything was unbelievably fresh. Our dining experiences were memorable, with white linen table cloths, fine (and yet warm and friendly) service from the wait staff (which included Paul himself), strong Irish breakfast tea served in delicate tea cups with accompanying saucers and gloriously dainty teaspoons, amazing Hake that tasted like it had been pulled from the lake just a few hours prior, and mornings with full Irish breakfasts and waffles that were unmatched during our entire 12-day tour of southern and western Ireland. Here, every one of us was treated both like royalty and like family simultaneously. We felt very welcomed and would return in a heartbeat, when given a chance to visit Killarney again from the US in the future. Thanks so much to our gracious hosts for such a lovely experience!
