Ottima posizione per visitare Kilkenny comodamente a piedi. Struttura che ricorda un castello, colazione molto buona con piatto principale cucinato al momento e servita in una bella sala con vista sul giardino. Letto comodo e vasca/doccia con buona pressione e che non allaga il bagno. Phon nella stanza. Persiane alle finestre che schermano abbastanza la luce al mattino. Parcheggio gratuito sul retro della struttura. Sul soffitto della nostra camera e su quello della sala colazione abbiamo notato parecchi insettini che mi hanno lasciato un po' perplessa visto le pretese e il costo dell'hotel (anche se non siamo stati punti e non abbiamo avuto problemi). Ascensore lentissimissimo.

Hotel centrale molto bello ma appena entrato in camera ( pagata circa 3OO euro) il water era sporco e non Dico di cosa !! Abbiamo subito avvisato una cameriera che stava passando ed è entrata in camera pulendo il tutto con lo spazzolino accanto al water. Ho chiesto se fosse stato sanificato visto quanto trovato ed ha risposto di sì andandosene via. Siccome era ancora sporco abbiamo avvisato la reception che dovrebbe aver provveduto. Sinceramente non sono riuscita ad utilizzare il bagno e l’ho trovato proprio di cattivo gusto . Mai successo dopo anni di viaggio.

This place was stunning! Our room was huge, well-appointed and a had a beautiful view of the garden and castle. Our bathroom was up a set of stairs in our suite. It had a towel warming rack which was a great addition since the morning air was brisk. Our breakfast the next morning was delicious. My husband can't stop talking about his Begian Waffle.

We loved our stay here. The hotel is small and cozy, staffed by some of the most friendly and professional staff you will ever meet. They are in the heart of Kilkenny, only steps from the Kilkenny Castle, numerous shops, and lively pubs and restaurants. We had breakfast in the restaurant and drinks at the bar and were so delighted with everything. If in Kilkenny, you simply cannot beat Butler House! And be sure to enjoy the gardens behind the hotel. They are amazing!

we had a lovely stay. the hotel is so central to all the amenities. free car parking for guests . rooms all decorated differently. we stayed in the botanical room. which has a french door leading out to the gardens. the gardens are well maintained and I'm sure on a lovely sunny day would be a tranquil place to sit and enjoy there's a book cupboard in the garden where you can pick up a book and read sitting in the gardens. great choice of breakfast and food was delicious. staff are so professional and every one was so welcoming. definitely would recommend a stay here.

If you are planning a trip to Kilkenny, look no farther. The Butler House cannot be topped! We were here for two nights during our Ireland vacation and wish we were still there! The location is oh so convenient, just steps from the rich cultural center of historic Kilkenny. Butler House is a small, boutique type hotel, but with so many amenities. The dining room is fantastic for breakfast, serving fresh Irish cuisine. The Garden View Bar has a great selection of Irish whisky and other options. The adjacent gardens are simply stunning and worth your time to explore. The staff here are very professional and accommodating as well. Butler House is the BEST!

Elegant hotel in the heart of Kilkenny. My family of 3 stayed in a Junior Suite with a garden view. The room was awesome - super spacious, comfortable beds, clean & modern bathroom, very nice decor. The hotel's garden backed up to Kilkenny Castle. Breakfast room was stylish & cozy with a garden room. Staff was very friendly & attentive. Only regret is that we didn't stay another night.

In recent years, we have tried to get a couple of days in Butler House in December. This was our fourth time to stay and again we had a wonderful time. As ever, staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a beautiful spacious room overlooking the gardens. The room was clean and tidy. Freshly cooked breakfast in the morning was a real positive together with a good selection of gluten free options. It definitely kept us going well into lunchtime ! Do remember this is an old building, so maybe the soundproofing is not up to modern standards and some doors door creak but that these are part of the overall charm of the house.

The bedroom was lovely and big as was the bathroom that had both a bath and a shower. The room had that ‘old’ feel which I like in buildings like that. There’s a fan in the room if you’re too warm and you only have to turn on the radiator if you’re cold. Breakfast was delicious. Everything is served to you, you can’t get anything yourself but the staff got anything we wanted. The staff were brilliant. They were all very friendly. The hotel is extremely close to Kilkenny Castle and many other places to visit are within walking distance. Great hotel, I’d stay here again.
