Ho alloggiato in quest’hotel in occasione di un matrimonio che si celebrava nell’hotel stesso. Bellissime sale, cibo e decorazioni. Assolutamente consigliato per un matrimonio. Le stanze sono accoglienti anche se particolare il fatto che la doppia avesse un letto singolo più un letto matrimoniale. Unica pecca la colazione viene servita presto e finisce presto cosa che cambierei specialmente in una location dove si celebrano matrimoni e le persone potrebbero svegliarsi più tardi del normale.

Quando valuto un hotel lo valuto sempre e solo in base a numero di stelle e prezzo speso. Se prenoto un due stelle mi posso aspettare molte sviste. Se prenoto un cinque stelle e spendo determinate cifre mi aspetto pulizia, accoglienza e comfort. Il cliente del 5 stelle deve sentirsi coccolato, altrimenti il cliente del 5 stelle prenota un 4 stelle e risparmia soldi. Arrivati all'hotel nessuno ci ha aiutato a scaricare i bagagli dall'auto, nessuno ci ha dato spiegazione su orari della colazione o attività che si potevano svolgere. La camera era una superior ma non aveva ne arredamento superior e nemmeno pulizia di livello. Polvere, impronte sui mobili, ragni (che poi son venuti gentilmente a rimuovere). Il letto king size erano in realtà due materassi (uno morbido e uno duro) messi vicini con un solco in mezzo. Se pago per un king size, pretendo un king size. I muri poco isolanti, sentivo le flatulenze del vicino di camera e gli schiamazzi durante la notte. La hall, la colazione e il parco bellissimi, così come la fantastica Kilkenny, tanto bella da farmi dimenticare l'hotel. In Irlanda ho dormito in altri 4 o 5 stelle nettamente superiori spendendo meno. Non faccio nomi per motivo di concorrenza ma basterà leggere nei prossimi giorni le mie recensioni per capire a quali hotel mi riferisco.

This estate is beautiful and the service is excellent. The front desk is so helpful and sweet. My favorite place I have ever visited.

Diaster from start to check out. Does not deserve 5 stars. Will never darken the door of This hotel ever again. Charged €6 for still water, over charged for a 3 course meal was not informed of the “supplement” charge for the steak NOT STATED ON THE MENU EITHER, was also told by a manager that the water is bought in hence the charge and we should have been offered Tap Water which we were not. Had a suprise planned for my partner to celebrate our anniversary and it was not in the room on arrival and the excuse was oh you had early check in, and that something was not read on the file correctly. Then the bath was broken in the room we stayed in and when we rang we were told did we put the stopper in??? Eventually we were given another room and only offered complimentary water. The only enjoyable part of this was the food. Yet they didn’t manage to get that right as a dessert order was messed up. Have stayed in 3 and 4 star hotels that had much better service

Very very bad experience. Went for an anniversary and left extremely stressed. Paid for wine to be in room. Didn't happen for almost two hours after check-in . The two receptionist didn't care less and got defensive when I raised the issue. Over charged at dinner by manager in the grill restaurant. And just to top it all off had to be moved rooms late at night as wanted to take a bath and it wouldn't hold any water. My advice. Avoid this place. Definitely not five star at all.

Had a really nice stay in the Lyrath however would only give it a 4 star review. The food in the Grill restraunt was just average nothing special and certainly was not worth 26 euro for the burger option. Dinner was included in our stay. Alcoholic drinks are on the expensive side but to be expected I guess in a 5 star hotel. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable and couldn't fault here at all. In the leisure centre there is mosaic tiles missing in the bottom of the pool where I hurt my foot. I mentioned this to staff and one of the maintenance staff to be told they are aware of the problem but won't close the pool as it would mean it would have to be closed for the week. Somebody is going to have a serious accident here. The estate itself is very scenic and I feel you are paying for the location of the hotel rather than the facilities in the hotel.

From the moment we arrived we absolutely loved everything about Lyrath. The setting was amazing, the staff were brilliant and the food and drinks were top class. We loved every minute of our stay which was a wedding gift from friends. The 2 dogs at the estate were adorable and did their very own meet and greet of all the guests. 😊 Everything was perfect and I would highly recommend Lyrath as a beautiful place.
