Era ok, un po' vecchia scuola ma con personale cordiale. La cena è stata buona con abbondanti porzioni di pesce. Le camere sono costruite nello stile delle capanne tradizionali locali ma sono funzionali. L'hotel ha accesso alla spiaggia e puoi camminare per chilometri lungo la spiaggia. L'alimentazione è andata via due volte per ore e ore - sono rimasto sorpreso che non ci fosse un generatore (la direzione dice che non funzionava correttamente) e una delle scale della piscina è un pericolo per la salute che mi ha quasi rotto una gamba - a quanto pare, non è un nuovo problema (è stato segnalato prima) ma ancora non è stato risolto.

Per favore, stai lontano da questo hotel, siamo stati a metà agosto e sono rimasto molto deluso. La camera era piccola, la tv non funzionava, la cassaforte non funzionava e non c'era la connessione wifi in camera. Il cibo era al di sotto della media, la birra costosa e non aveva pasti abbondanti per bambini in quanto non era disponibile un menu per bambini. Piscina sporca, pochissimi altri ospiti e questo è un luogo isolato, a quasi 3 ore dall'aeroporto di Mombasa. Niente da vedere nei dintorni dell'hotel. Attenzione anche al bollitore! Dato che sono stato fulminato il primo giorno (due volte), alcuni genitori sono stati visti da altri no.

Cool freeze and fresh air. It's a good place to relax after along week of stressful job. The proximity to the beach ⛱️ is an additional advantage of being in this place. The rooms are somehow old style but very quiet. Staff are friendly and well trained for the service.

This hotel has amazing potential and was probably once quite grand. The facilites are tired and in need of maintenance and updates. We were there out of season so it was very quiet and the staff seemed a little challenged in knowing what to do. The beach is great and the grounds are super. I would stay here again but I’d check my room and test the shower before settling on my room.

We had a wonderful stay at Baobab Sea Lodge. The staff went above and beyond with their service. The manager, David, was always available and ready to help and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our week long stay. He is a true gem. Our dinners (a la carte) were cooked to perfection and amazing! Chef Rana deserves 5stars! His fish dishes and chops were outstanding, as were his other delicious meals.

The Baobab Sea Lodge is a very beautiful, luxury and friendly hotel. Outstanding personal. Very private and relaxed nice place to switch off. Very high security and feel-good a**osphere. The breakfast and dinner is very fresh & tasty. I don't need a bigger selection. A special compliment to the manager, who takes care of the guests and the property in a very friendly and forward-looking manner. We will definetly come back!

We visited the property before booking and were shown around, after which we decided on and booked a deluxe room with pool view. However, when we showed up for check in, we were taken to a another (lower category) room - without any information from the staff. We asked the staff member if this really was a deluxe room, which he insisted on it being. Turns out he lied. After we contacted the reception, we were informed that the room category we had booked was fully booked. We insisted on being compensated, so they offered a room at another hotel, a couple of km up along the beach, which we declined. Instead we suggested we’d at least be compensated with complimentary massages, which they eventually agreed to. The pool area is nice and the staff there were really attentive. The masseuses are also great! However, the sound proofing in the premier rooms (which is the one we ended up getting) is non existent. If you’re on the lower floor, you’ll be able to hear every sigh, every bathroom visit…you name it…from the guests upstairs. Unfortunately, our neighbor got home late and stayed up for the rest of the night, so we weren’t able to get any sleep. The facilities are dated but the hotel is beautifully situated. The breakfast was so-so. All in all, there are way better options for accommodation in Kilifi. (Distant Relatives and Salty’s being two of them.)
