The stove is old and need to wait for long time to heat and the kitchen range hood doesn’t work normally. We do not suggest to cook in the house. But the master bed room is big and the house is warm. And the location is good for the guest who want to be quiet.

Heads up on the damp Sadly they are still to refurbish some of the bedrooms, the room I had had damp everywhere, patches of plaster off the wall. Had I know I would not have booked that place, when i complained they apologised but that was it, marred my stay with them definately.

A lovely stay We had an amazing time. The food amazing in a gorgeous pub. The atmosphere and hospitality was fantastic everyone made us feel welcome very friendly especially the lovely Keith, what a legend! Loved listening to the stories & the history of the building he was brilliant! We paid £132 a night (Tuesday( for our room, there was a few minor problems, especially the volume of the music that we could hear while in our room played in the bar & we did also wonder if it was actually a Superior room, (room 5). We would definitely stay again but request a different room.

Had such a lovely stay in The Horse & Farrier Inn. Rooms were small but clean and had all the facilites needed. Food at both dinner and breakfast was delicious. Location is great, only a short drive into Keswick, with beautiful views of the mountains. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

Not my cup of tea Pretty average stay with unfriendly staff and varying levels of food - some good some average. Of note was the scrambled egg on toast which was minuscule. Bedrooms were clean, shower was powerful and hot. Walls had peeling paint and general areas of the hotel were grotty in places. Wouldn’t stay again.
