Hotel in posizione strategica, ottima la pulizia della struttura e delle camere. Camera con vista spettacolare sulla piscina, oltre le aspettative. Spiaggia attrezzata. Spettacolari i tramonti visti dalla terrazza. A disposizione teli mare e accappatoi e ciabatte in camera. Struttura consigliatissima!

La Grotto Verde Positives: Hospitable staff as they always greeted you in Greek which is makes you feel part of the island’s community, they fulfil your needs swiftly and never make you feel judged same goes with other guests. Mariana was lovely to speak with (she was always by the desk near the main restaurant), she always had a nice smile. Anastasio was a humble and pleasant person to speak with occasionally, he worked as a waiter in the restaurant. For dinner you should wear smart and casual with no flip flops, I was unaware of this as I didn’t read the sign so I wore casual a few times, and nobody said anything! As I said you don’t feel judged. In the one week I stayed, breakfast was decent. I chose omelettes and scrambled eggs and toast. I gave some mushrooms a try and they were tasty. The honey was delicious and so was the cherry jam. The main restaurant always tried to create different dishes for dinner such as Italian themed buffet and then Greek one other time. I can appreciate it can’t always be different as there were most of the occasional dishes displayed such as baked chicken and saithe fish, or perhaps it was popular, and there were your common foods: fries, cold salads, sauces and olives. The beef and lamb dishes were a melt in the mouth – the lamb always fell off the bone. It's nice to be able to choose a table outside or inside. Beautiful sunsets with every dinner you eat!! Dessert was nice, there were a few easy-to-spot Greek desserts, and they were tasty along with mousse, cheesecakes, and fresh fruits. The Overall dinner was not too bad, I would give it 7/10. Breakfast 5/10. The swimming pool area has some “pool games” such as balls to play with, mini bats and balls to play tennis, some sort of water guns and few other things. You could also play table tennis. The staff in charge of that area were very friendly. There is aquatic dancing too (nothing difficult, so its fun!). Entertainment: Live music is played; we had a guy playing a saxophone one time and we had a DJ the other time and everybody danced, it was such a genuine vibe. There is also a bar by the pool area. There are showers not too far from the beach to rinse yourself after a swim and there is a lifeguard. The beach is lovely and beautiful. You can snorkel to see different fish and you can see small fish without snorkelling. The balcony had sliding doors providing lots of warm sunshine inside the room. Hearing and seeing the stretch of sea was very therapeutic and soothing. Weather in late May was warm and sunny, really a good time to sunbathe. The hotel has lifts, stairs inside and outdoor paths. There are also a few stray cats that come to visit by the sun loungers. The hotel has a spa with an indoor pool, sauna, shower, toilets and massage rooms. I received a tasty ice-cream cake for my birthday!! Negatives: The outdoor swimming pool is a little chilly, but there is an indoor pool which is about 25 degrees Celsius warm, and it is about 1.
