Kentisbury Grange

We were very pleased with our accommodations at this property. Our room was well appointed, very modern and yet inviting. The little cottage was huge, especially by European standards. The bathroom with its clawfoot tub and large shower couldn't have been nicer. We also enjoy the little deck outside where we could have a glass of wine. The property is large with lawns around and places to sit outside. Full breakfast was included . We found the staff to be friendly and helpful although not great at directions. A nice place to stay when visiting N. Devon.

Just returned from an amazing stay at the Kentisbury Grange. Stayed in room 6 in the house - what a treat. Huge comfortable room and luxury bathroom, all spotlessly clean. Ate at the Coach house every night and we were not disappointed with the food or service. Can’t praise everyone enough they are all so friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back and might try a lodge 😊

I had my birthday party in the coach house with 22 guests, stayed 2 nights. Absolutely fantastic service, food was stunning 😍 the whole experience was more than I could ever of expected. Well done to all the staff and the manager Nick. A thoroughly excellent stay in a stunning location 👌

We stayed in one of the cottages at kentisbury grange for three days . The cottage was beautiful. Extremely comfortable and decorated beautifully. We ate at the coach house restaurant on all three evenings and also had breakfast every day . The food was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We would most definitely recommend both the cottage and all the facilities. The place was very well maintained. The borders on the pathways of lavender and hebe plants enhanced it too . Very happy with our stay . 5* in every way 😊

We stayed at this hotel in May 2024. We booked a 2 night break with dinner included the first night. Initially we were confused where to check in but discovered it was in the bar/restaurant and after that all went very smoothly. We were in room 1 which is described as a suite and in the main house. The room was lovely and the bathroom fabulous - very modern. The shower was incredible, wish I could have taken it home with me. It was a country house hotel with all mod cons! The only snag with our room was that we couldn't close the curtains but we mentioned this at dinner and by the time we finished dinner they were closed for us, and they were blackouts so we could lie in late. Now to dinner. The restaurant was a lovely setting in the former coach house when this was a private country home. We chose to have a drink upstairs beforehand which was nice also, though wouldn't repeat as not so much atmosphere up there as in the restaurant area. We were nervous about the food as we'd read some reviews where people were disappointed with it. Well not us. We were blown away with it! I challenge anyone to find anything wrong with the menu or the food produced. I would revisit in a heartbeat. Breakfast too was excellent with plenty of variety and lots of it. As well as the food being so outstanding, the service I received has also left a very memorable impression on me. Nick and his team worked hard but so discreetly to make everyone feel welcome and valued. It was exemplary. They were the proverbial swans serenely gliding along to deliver excellent service apparently effortlessly. The organisation and training behind the scenes must be first class. To close, all I can say is if you are wondering whether to give this hotel a chance - do! You won't regret it. Next time I might try staying in one of the lodges in the grounds as they look beautiful too.

It’s sadly not the place it was! Dirty, uncared about, was has happen to what was a beautiful place to visit! They need a good manager to drive the place. No reception anymore in the hotel, you go to the coach house. No service like it was, no friendly atmosphere!
