Sunset Paradise Resort

We booked this as a last minute cheap holiday. The apartments have fantastic views across the bay and are up a very steep hillside. I wasn't expecting much as it was very budget friendly and am surprised to say it exceeded my expectations. The room was very basic but clean with a comfortable bed and great air con! There is a small bar ran mainly by Michael, Micheal is the tall, handsome Young looking guy, but if you want to find him, just listen to where the laughter is! He in a nut shell is the heart and soul of the resort, a Man with a heart of Gold! All the staff work really hard, towels are changed every 3 days and the lovely maid (Michaels young daughter! ;) ) cleans and empties the bin every day. If you are not that fit and have trouble walking then this place is not for you, although you can get a taxi. If you want luxury then it's not for you. For a week or 2 no frills budget holiday in gorgeous Lassi, Kefelonia, then I would really recommend it. We loved it!

Such a beautiful island! Hotel wise, the pool area, bar area and rooms are amazing and comfortable for either a short stay or a long stay. I stayed in room B6 and the view was incredible, but beware of dropping crumbs on the floor because the ants WILL come in. However, there is no lobby area, so when you arrive come straight to the bar area and someone will help you check in. Furthermore, if you plan to explore, you must commit to the hill. I stayed for two weeks and my legs have definitely become stronger after walking down and up every night, sometimes even twice a day. We got a taxi up the hill one time from the bottom and it was €10, so if you're willing to spend that money then it's worth it to save your legs. Another wonderful part of my stay in Kefalonia is that I went on a cultural tour around the island and also went on a day trip to Ithaca, a small island next to Kefalonia. I definitely reccomend both trips. There is also a really cute cat that stays at the resort, mostly around the pool and bar area. The cat is really friendly and will sit on your lap. One night, the cat followed me to my room and from then on I fed the cat every morning and night. Because of this, the cat sleeps on the chairs outside the room and even got inside the room at some points!! If you're staying in room B6 after the 10th August 2025, or just staying at the resort in general, cat food is 80 cents in Vegalati food market on the road at the bottom of the hill if you're kind enough to help this kitty. Needs some work The staff are lovely and the apartments are clean but the rooms really need some maintenance. Light switches falling off wall, wardrobe door broken (and notified about but no-one ever came to fix), slightly grim (but clean) shower; tiny with shower curtain. The space around the blocks is a bit of a mess, with broken concrete and not well maintained. I'm not saying to not go here - we got a cheap deal and it was a clean base for our holiday. But really clear that it's very much 1.5-2 star (not '2 star plus', as Jet2 stated)

Loved our week away here absolutely fantastic location. And the staff all very friendly especially Michael who was an absolute star all holiday making drinks doing food and always smiling 😊. The hill up to the hotel is steep yes but we enjoyed walking down in the evening having tea out then just jumping in taxi back up for £8 euros easy. Pool area fantastic plenty of comfy sunbeds.

What can I say about this piece of paradise! From the moment you arrive you are made to feel so welcome. Nothing is too much for Ornela and her team of staff. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. And the views are amazing. Pool area so relaxing and the bar has lots of options for drinks and snacks, all freshly cooked. If you want to escape to the beautiful Island of kefalonia the sunset paradise is the perfect place. Argostoil is a ten minute taxi ride, costing €10 the bar will order this for you. You can enjoy a cocktail while waiting for your taxi soaking up the spectacular sunset from the bar area. I would highly recommend. I will be coming back again in September for a week.
