Avithos Resort Hotel

Just returned from a great stay at Avithos Resort. The apartments were stylish, spotless, and cleaned daily. Fresh towels arrived every three days, including pool towels—which was super handy. Beach towels aren’t provided separately, so it’s worth bringing your own if you're planning to venture out. A real bonus was the respectful vibe at the pool—no sunbed reserving nonsense! Plenty of loungers, umbrellas, and shady spots without the early-morning scramble. So refreshing not to have to be up at the crack of dawn getting sun loungers! If you're up for exploring Kefalonia, I’d definitely recommend hiring a car. It made all the difference for seeing other parts of the island. Espidres, a lovely restaurant just five minutes walk up the road. We ended up going four nights—it was that good. Also loved Sea Salt down at Al Helios beach for relaxed beautiful sea views in the evening. Couple other guests we spoke to ate at Crazy George’s and said it was good. All these were in walking distance. Hotel breakfast seemed steep at €26 for adults and €18 for kids, so we popped to the Sagittarius supermarket nearby and grabbed cereal, fruit, and snacks for DIY breakfasts and picnics. Water is much cheaper there too. For a proper breakfast treat, *Bake Me Happy* down the road had excellent brunch options, pastries and coffee. Recommend packing metal water bottles to keep water cool and we took a lunch cooler backpack with us too for picnics. We did have lunch at the hotel once—pesto pasta was generous and perfect for sharing. The cocktails and beers were spot on too, and the staff were lovely and hardworking throughout. All in all, Avithos Resort gave us a chilled and comfortable base to enjoy Kefalonia. Would happily return.

Beautiful resort. Room clean and comfortable plus decor is so lovely and chic. Staff are accommodating and professional. Good food. Bar us a bit on expensive side. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

10 minute taxi ride from the airport, 10 minute walk from the beach, spotless air-conditioned apartments, large relaxing pool, never too busy, wonderfully helpful staff, great food and drinks. The area is lovely too, with excellent restaurants within walking distance and Argostoli, and its beautiful marina, also just a short drive away Exactly what we were hoping for. Highly recommended.

Just spent a week at the Avithos Resort…. for us this is a little piece of heaven. On arrival there is always a warm friendly welcome from Christina , who goes above and beyond to make sure our stay is perfect. The rooms are beautifully decorated with natural materials , set amongst lovely gardens. The fresh water pool is the centre piece of the resort surrounded by plenty of beds and a pool bar serving food and drink through out the day. A handful of restaurants are within walking distance… our favourites are Espirades, Avithos Preview and Sea Salt, we also ate a couple of evening meals at the pool bar which I can highly recommend . A beautiful relaxing resort, the perfect place to recharge your batteries… already looking forward to returning in September

We have recently returned from another wonderful 14 days at Avithos Resort. This was our 9th consecutive year and this beautifully tranquil place continues to deliver. The staff are excellent, the reception team, Christina, Sophia and Neesha are always available to deal with all manner of queries. Claudia, Angela, Maria & Alexia run the superb breakfast buffet which provides a wide variety of quality food beautifully presented. The resort is continually improving its facilities, this year the restaurant furniture has been completely upgraded. The consistently positive reviews from other guests confirms what we have known for many years, Avithos Resort is a wonderful place for a relaxing holiday experience. Looking forward to returning in June next year.
