I recently stayed at a delightful hotel in Kavos, Corfu, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The hotel is clean, offering a refreshing and comfortable environment. The pool area is fantastic—perfect for relaxing and unwinding under the sun. The location is ideal, with easy access to all the local restaurants and bars and beaches . The standout feature, however, is the exceptional service. Elena is incredibly friendly, always smiling and attentive, and the owner, Dimi, went above and beyond to ensure I was always happy. His dedication to making everyone feel welcome truly enhances the overall experience.

After a great week in Kavos, my daughter and 2 friends were met on check out of this hotel by the owner Dimitris. He claimed they had soiled a mattress, and towels like a few reviews left here by young people. He wanted €200 and was withholding a passport if someone who was waiting for a transfer. Guided by our Greek friend in the UK, who phoned the hotel, my daughter phoned the police. Apparently Dimitris said their passport was in the next town and they had to get a bus to retrieve it and he had negotiated with the police a €100 fine for damages. The passport was not at the police station. He lied. The hotel also refused my daughter to take photos of said damages and said they could no longer access the room. They paid €100 euros to get their passport back and when they paid, the owner Dimitris shouted ‘the British come here and get drunk and ruin his mattresses’. I advise any young person to avoid this hotel. The owner is a bully and will target young people. The sheets and towels were changed once in the week they stayed there (3 girls) and they were forced to pay to get their passport back.

Although we read some bad reviews, our stay was great! Dimitris and his staff were very friendly and attentive to anything we asked... We had to pay the 50 euro deposit which we got back and also had to pay for a/C which we knew about it. Lovely pool area with great lounge music!

Stayed in room 4 and wish we’d have read the updated reviews prior… Expect the following if you’re considering staying here: 1. (CHECK-IN) Staff member tried keeping our passport as the deposit for the room (seems massively dodgy in itself), we declined as we needed them and instead had to give a €100 deposit for the room, €10 per night for A/C and €25 just for an iron that didn’t even work. We told them it didn’t work and gave it back to where they were going to charge us for it! 2. (ROOM QUALITY) There are damage to the walls, filthy pillows and ants all over the floor in our room crawling on our skin during the night. Walls are incredibly thin too so we heard recklessness all night from neighbours and nothing was done about it. No air ventilation in the room so A/C is a must to even survive which they charge for! 3. (STAFF/CUSTOMER SERVICE) Same staff member as previously mentioned is really rude and denies theft of items in our room when we left to visit the beach and came back to discover clothing missing. He also stared at us every time we left our room which made us feel incredibly uncomfortable. Manager was not around to talk to when we needed them either which made us feel neglected. 4. (CHECK OUT) Staff scammed us of our €100 deposit money lying about towels and bedsheets being damaged in our room. We were majorly disappointed and felt really unsafe during our stay. This was a big shame due to it being our first holiday away together with friends. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Cleaners took 50 euros from my purse that was in my suitcase. spoke to the manager and he said to stop accusing, and then they took another 20 the next day even after it was hidden. spoke to the manager about it again and he didn’t care as he knows they do it. Don’t leave anything around they make u pay for the smallest things, dirty towels, toilet roll and sheets don’t get changed and smells of sewers throughout the whole hotel

We just stayed for a week and had many issues. When we arrived our passport was taken for ‘safekeeping’ as well as well as £50 deposit and £20 late check in. Aircon wasn’t included, even though advertised as so, and we were asked to pay 10 euros extra a night. No wifi all week, it didn’t work for any of us in any location of the hotel. Second morning found the cleaner stealing money out of my bag- no apology. Shower head didn’t have a holder so couldn’t shower properly- had to hold it up all week. Never refilled the soap and toilet roll- constantly had to ask. Sheets were changed once during our 7night stay and same with the towel. At check out charged us 10 euros for having a dirty towel. Around the hotel stinks of rotten egg/sewage. Pool tiles all coming off. Very old rooms and need refurbishment. Loud noise at all hours but being close to the ***** was expected. All ran by one guy who refused to acknowledge these issues. Lemon trees around the property which was nice. Location is a bonus too.
