I stayed here with my dad in August as we were doing the Everest Base Camp trek, and what an absolute delight it was. The rooms are clean, simple and comfortable. What more do you need? Fresh bedding, towels and refilled toiletries every day, unless you specifically request otherwise. The rooms are larger than I anticipated and the shower is actually quite powerful. They also provide bottled water for each guest and the usual tea/coffee facilities, alongside a mini fridge. All the food at the hotel is tasty with a wide variety of choices from a range of cuisines. When you can get a cocktail (they struggled with some of the spirit supplies when I was there) oh my they are powerful! Hats off the the chefs and staff as they are so attentive all the time. Our air conditioning was broke and they fixed it within the hour. The golden jewel of this hotel is absolutely the rooftop bar. I would also like to give a particular shout out to Sanjay, who was mainly on the rooftop when we were there. He honestly went the extra mile with us throughout our stay and just made us feel wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and he even managed to make a face in our lattes (it did actually look a little like my dad, albeit not as bald). I've never been to the Asian continent before, and what a first experience this was. I loved every single minute, and this hotel was a big part of that experience. A good position too about a 20 minute walk from Thamel. Great location, friendly staff with a good sense of humour and an excellent price. Would 100% stay here again!
