Pros Great location for exploring Themal and provided you are not too high up, you shouldn't hear any road noise as it's set back. I was on the 4th floor and could hear the incessant beeping motorbikes but had moved from the first floor where i heard none (but was directly above the kitchen so could hear banging and chairs scraping from around 6am). 2nd floor is probably a good choice Staff were all excellent Room cleaned daily with 2 large bottles of water provided each day Breakfast was ok - decent variety of fruit, local and western with custom eggs. Coffee was instant though. Air con has heat facility No deposit required on check-in Toiletries provided Cons Some noise depending on your room location - dont stay in 107 or room directly above the kitchen/restaurant No safe for passport, cash etc in room Breakfast area isn't particularly clean i.e. dirty table cloths/mats Poor standard of fixtures/fittings e.g. gaps in windows and doors, curtains dont quite close right, dirty shower curtain, the rooms have seen better days but for the price its still good value. No coffee or milk in room (or 3-in one) No phone charging point near the bed Bathroom mat was old and dirty, no floor towel Tips: take extra passport photo if you intend to get a sim card at the airport, unlimited data one with nepal telecom cost me $10 - signal was mostly ok. Get your currency before you arrive or take enough to convert there, the atm machines are expensive Taxi from airport to Themal should be around 350 rupees working on 50 rupees per km plys 30 rupees start charge. You will be hounded relentlessly by people from the second you leave the plane for tour services etc. It may seem impolite but dont make eye contact, say no thank you and keep walking, otherwise you will spend your entire trip speaking to them. Right now its cold at night, pack accordingly. Be prepared to pay for everything, every temple, every place of historical interest - foreigners are charged around 1000-2000 rupees each time. E.g. all the Durbar squares, main stupas and temples. Don't assume that because Nepal is a developing country it is cheap. It isn't. In fact i found it comparable to some developed countries and not cheaper than say Thailand. A meal would cost me around 1000 rupees. In a smaller more local place you may pay 500. Don't take your new trainers, it's a very dirty, dusty city but exactly what you would expect if you've ever seen it on TV - it's all part of the experience. For exploring all of the main parts of Kathmandu, id say 5 days is a good amount of time. I recommend the everest helicopter tour but on that note i will say that tours are very expensive here, more expensive than even Hong Kong, Thailand, etc!! I ended up walking to the main temples, Chandragiri, Bakhtapur for the more local experience.

Moonlight was a small, clean, quiet and a very welcoming place in the sought after central tourist area of Kathmandu - Thamel. Friendly, attentive and ever-smiling staff provided excellent service during our stay. Manager - Hari - with his wealth of experience and knowledge, was always available to support, guide and direct us with whatever queries or information we needed. Whether it was a visit to Pashupattinath, currency exchange, haircut, shopping ... Hari was always happy to help and put us in touch with the right contacts. This review comes a bit late ... but Hari and entire Moonlight Team ... thank you so much for everything! Pheri Bhetaula!

日本人のレビューがなかったので不安でしたが、Google評価が良かったので予約してみたら大当たりでした！デザインも新しい気がして聞いたら先月オープンしたとのことでめちゃくちゃ綺麗でした！（だからレビュー少なかったと理解できました）日本人の方にもこのホテルは合うと思うので、レビュー記載しておきます。 【良かった点】 •新築なので新しくて綺麗 •コンセントがグローバルデザイン&数が多い（ベッドサイドにもUSBタイプあり） •水が1リットルペッドボトル2本あり •ジャグジー、サウナ、ミストサウナ付き（私は入ってませんが、ミストサウナがいい香りで入りたくなりました。水着持参した方が良さそうです。） •朝食が美味しい！マサラティーも作ってくれます！ •スタッフがめちゃくちゃ優しい（マネジャーも少し日本語わかってくれます） •大通りから入ったところにあるので夜も静か！ •ベッドマットがしっかりしててぐっすり寝れました！ 【注意点】 •バスタブある部屋予約したつもりが私の部屋タイプにはなかったです！もし必要な場合は事前に問い合わせたほうがいいかもです。 •連泊しましたが、清掃は入ってませんでした。荷物広げてたので私はその方が良かったのですが、タオル交換だけはしてほしいなーと。フロントで言えば新しいタオルくれたので問題なかったです！ ホテル行くまでに両替所もあってレートも悪くなかっです。とにかく綺麗で安くて、カトマンズ泊まるならリピします！

Here are a few suggestions for Hotel Himalaya: 1. The front desk and reception staff are polite and friendly, actively assisting with various issues. 2. However, due to outdated facilities, such as the bathroom, the water contains sediment, causing itchiness after showers. 3. There is no water dispenser, and using bottled water is not environmentally friendly. 4. The gym and some parts of the building are under renovation, resulting in noise pollution.

Jhapad, Rohit, Bikash, Nisto sono molto gentili e professionali. Hanno sempre controllato se il cibo era buono e chiesto se aveva bisogno di qualcosa. Grazie per la vostra cura. Grazie a loro, sono riuscito a mangiare comodo. Raccomando il ristorante per colazione dell'hotel.

A me piaceva la calda ospitalità, ma il servizio poteva essere migliorato. Wi-Fi non poteva essere collegato tutta la notte e le strutture non erano sufficienti. Lo shampoo e il sapone corpo sono le cose più essenziali che dovrebbero essere disponibili nella stanza. In generale, è stata una buona esperienza e il personale è stato buono.

I have stay long time in anuttara lords plaza . Room are amazing with Boudha view and food is so yummy. The staff’s of Anuttara lords plaza is very helpful and good. Everything is perfect, and I only want to inform that no one miss to stay here while you are coming Kathmandu with your friends or solo. Such, a beautiful hotel . I stayed at this hotel for four nights on a vacation in Nepal, booking their City-Country Package, which included stays here and at the Dwarika Hotel in Kathmandu. The experience was nothing short of wonderful, filled with delightful surprises, lasting impressions, and complete satisfaction. Initially, I wasn’t particularly drawn to meditation or yoga. My only goal was to unwind in a peaceful resort setting with a view of the Himalayas. Since I’d heard about the frequent cancellations of domestic flights in Nepal, I decided not to risk traveling too far from Kathmandu. This hotel, just an hour's drive away, turned out to be the perfect choice. The hospitality of the staff, the thoughtfully provided amenities, the stable internet, and, of course, the stunning Himalayan views were all beyond my expectations. But the highlight of my stay was definitely the food. Each evening offered a fantastic spread of Nepali and Indian dishes, along with continental options. We loved the Nepali cuisine so much that we didn’t make it to the Japanese restaurant, and yet, every meal brought something new and delicious over our four nights. The tranquility of the hotel is also remarkable. Early November is peak season in Nepal, with ideal weather—clear skies, mild temperatures, and little rain. Still, the hotel never felt crowded. Every view, from the hilltop lookout to the serene pool area, felt like it was reserved just for us. Based on other reviews, it seems that guests often find they have the view to themselves. Thanks to everyone at Dwarika’s Resort, I enjoyed a relaxing, fulfilling vacation that was absolutely perfect.
