Kashgar Yuanzhu International Youth Hostel (Ancient City of Kashgar)

This is the worst hostel experience I’ve had, including one where I was robbed. There are no secure storage facilities, it is unclear if you’re booking the top bunks or the usual curtained pods. The top bunks are fully visible from public areas through the huge windows - with nowhere to change in private, the sheets are made of some kind of scratchy hemp, the lights are left on all until 3am, so it’s impossible to sleep without an eye mask and earplugs. It is extremely hot. I was then woken up at 7am by smoke from people smoking in the room, which rose to the top - and numerous insect bites. In my experience hostels in China have been good value and able to provide at least a decent night sleep. This one was extremely disappointing

This hostel is well located and has a really good vibe. We can talk with all people on the terrace. And more over this is the cheapest in the city.
