Korsan Apartments

We came across these apartments after being let down by another booking, and we are so glad we did. We were lucky enough to get the penthouse apartment number 6, which was two bedrooms over two levels. The main living room with TV, kitchen and dining area are downstairs with one twin room and bathroom, and then a double bedroom with bathroom and seperate living space on the top floor. Both floors also had amazing balconies. The downstairs one being a right little sun trap, and the top floor one being more shady, but with two comfy sofas and a little table for two. The apartment was spotless, and the attention to detail was amazing. There was storage for everything, even those little things you don't realise how handy they are, ledges in showers for your toiletries, a bench by the door to sit and put your shoes on. My husband had a perfect work desk with a view, seperate from the living area with TV so he could get work done in piece. And the view when you come out from your bedroom each morning was just ridiculous. You could never tire of that view. There were two pools, we preferred the one right out the front which tended to be quieter, we had it to ourselves alot of the time, nice sunbeds and umbrellas, and just right to cool off and play some games in. There was also a ping pong table we made good use of, and although we didnt use it there is a small cafe/bar where they serve drinks and possible snacks. The location was perfect, 5-10 minutes walk to shops, bars, restuarants. Just beware Kalkan is steep, but thats not a knock on the apartment, and if it wasnt you wouldnt have those views. You could park right outside, although we chose to leave our car one street over which was wider and fairly empty must of the time, perfect for the worries of a hire car. I think this place was bigger than our house, and my son was very happy to have his own bathroom, they were lucky we left :-) Dont hesitate to book this place, I would definitely go back.

Having been to the Korsan Apartments a few years ago I was expecting the same high standard of service. However I was disappointed. The lovely man & wife team who used to look after the apartments had left and their replacements were not so good. The cleaning service offered had also changed. No rubbish collected daily, no bed making, no cleaning. The towels & bedding were old & grey. The apartment was rather dirty. The bar was closed in the evening which was such a shame. Such a shame as the location is perfect. The price hasn’t been reduced to take into account the reduced service. Will look for more comfortable apartments in the future.
