I struggled between a 2 and a 3 because the saving graces were the staff’s friendliness and efforts and the food. The infrastructure is subpar and the overall experience was absolutely not worth the high rates at which they charge. It feels like everything is a work in progress, and there’s an asterisk with every aspect of the resort — we asked for adjacent cabins but one of them experienced some problem the day prior; the Wi-Fi wasn’t working properly in the cabin we were given, nor was there hot water; the fridge in the other cabin made a loud, constant noise; the batteries of the AC remote was depleted/ dead; the swimming pool was being serviced in the middle of the day during the entire time I was in the pool; the food service was also not prompt and we had to ask for everything. The young staff are sweet and attempt to address everything that’s brought to their attention as best they can. However, the fact that everything has to brought to their attention at all, occasionally more than once, indicates that the management is not well-trained in service either, an extension of the subpar infrastructure. As a family of four looking to spend a smooth & stress-free weekend together, it left a sour taste in our mouths. If the price of the cabins were halved (and the foliage tended a bit better to enable a better view from the balcony), then this level of amenities and service would have been accepted with a heavy sigh, but given the amount we paid, it was a rip-off. It felt like we were organising more maintenance on holiday than we do at home. Unless there are real changes reflected in future reviews, I would think twice about booking.
