Hotel a Karo, Indonesia

I stayed for a week at Mikie and was impressed with the level of service and hospitality at the resort. My Mikie Deluxe room was very spacious and was well appointed -- comfortable, clean and pleasant. The breakfast was delicious -- I think the Executive Chef must have put in a lot of thought into providing the daily, scrumptious morning buffet spread. I think what makes it special is that the vegetables and meat employed are sourced from the mountain that Mikie is situated on --- it doesn't get any fresher than this! The Front Office staff were friendly and helpful ----- always willing to assist in answering any questions that I may have related to Berastagi. I highly recommend this hotel.

L'ho usato per la seconda volta che sono andato a Brastagi.E'un posto bello nel paesaggio, il cibo è delizioso e pieno di molti turisti.Una cosa che mi preoccupa è che l'intero edificio è condizionato (condizionato), quindi non c'è un telecomando nella stanza. L'ordine del giorno dopo è cambiato improvvisamente, ho dovuto cancellare, ma se ho una possibilita', voglio usarlo di nuovo. (È molto utile guidare al destino il giorno dopo.Grazie mille.)

2-night stay for 5 adults in 3 rooms Upside: (1) Views - Resort's location on a ridge overlooking Lake Toba means that more expensive room categories and public areas have unobstructed views (weather permitting) of the gorgeous lake. Worth it to pay up for lakeview rooms, but be aware that other guests can access the gardens outside the rooms on the lower floors, so curtains have to be closed for privacy. Also worth it to drive out 15 minutes (but still within resort grounds) to One Tree Hill for the views. (2) Staff - Shout out to Fitria, who was our point of contact for our reservation, and who arranged transport to/from the resort and for a day of sightseeing. She was proactive, reliable and pleasant to deal with, whether via email, WhatsApp or in person. (3) Amenities/Facilities - Despite the remote location, there was ample hot water and good water pressure in the showers. Wi-fi was decent in terms of speed and stability, both in rooms and in public areas. Note that rooms don't have fans, air-cons or heating given the cool climate year-round. Downside: (1) Unfinished - Despite the fact that the resort has been operating for several years, the upper floors of the main block are still under construction. Bizarre! This also means that there is no interior access to the restaurant and reception. Golf cart/truck/van shuttles are offered up and down the short, but steep, distance between the rooms and the reception/restaurant. This was particularly appreciated whenever it rained. However, we weren't disrupted by any renovation noise. (2) Remote location - Resort has extensive grounds, so it's a 20-30 minute drive out to places of interest (e.g. Sipiso-piso waterfall) or to town (e.g. Tongging) to eat in a restaurant. So, like us, you'll probably eat breakfast and dinner at the resort. Confirm if your rate includes breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was buffet-style, while dinner was buffet one night and steamboat/hotpot the other. None of the meals were particularly outstanding, but they did the job.

We used the hotel as a base to explore Berastagi and Mount Sibayak. It's a large hotel with spacious rooms and green areas throughout. The breakfast buffet is generous and good, and the staff is friendly. Highly recommended!

Sangaaaaat raccomandato giusto. Recendere sulla condizione della camera, come nella foto, camera con 1 letto e bagno all'interno. Bagno pulito, acqua vive. Seduto. Il letto era pulito, le foglie erano pulite, e due cucchiai erano stati forniti perché era davvero freddo qui. Per i bagni, puoi chiedere alla guardia. È molto conveniente perché è lontano dal rumore, più tranquillo di altri luoghi. Il punto più importante, il guardiano/proprietario del locale è molto amichevole e molto buono, parlando collegato come se avessi conosciuto da molto tempo hahaha, sempre sano yaaa bike. La guardia notturna è anche amichevole. La stanza può essere utilizzata anche come un punto di foto. Vi sono parcheggi anche per auto e motociclete. Anche i biglietti di primavera caldi.Il lusso di un prezzo economico è già lo stesso della primavera calda.

Siamo arrivati a Sapo Karo, abbiamo trascorso solo una notte all'hotel, ma possiamo solo consigliarci di rimanere. Le camere sono semplici, ma abbiamo trovato la nostra pulita, tranquilla e con una doccia calda. Quello che ha reso il nostro soggiorno straordinario è stato Edwin, il curatore dell'hotel e lontano da quella guida al monte Sibayak al mattino. E' stato davvero straordinario quanto tempo ci ha volato per mostrarci intorno: prima al monte Sibayak e alle fonti calde, poi alla costa settentrionale del lago Toba e poi ancora indietro per arrivare al nostro volo a Medan la sera. Durante il nostro tempo in Indonesia, abbiamo trovato a malapena un guida più amichevole, autentico e curativo che non ci siamo nemmeno incontrati come guida, ma come un essere umano ispirante e bellissimo con le migliori conversazioni e un bel senso dell'umorismo. Grazie, Edwin, è stato un piacere per noi e saremo di nuovo a Sapo Karo quando speriamo di tornare a visitare Sumatra presto!

Questo posto era consigliato da un amico, e anche se era un po' sopra il nostro bilancio, andammo a prenotare, viaggiammo in gruppo e prendemmo 10 camere. Le camere erano molto pulite, ma troppo vasche, in alcune camere le caldaie non funzionavano correttamente, le cuscinetti erano in condizioni disfavorevoli, tutti i mobili erano bellissimi, ma erano troppo bassi per non essere molto confortevoli. Alcuni letti non erano in buona forma. Il colazione complimentare potrebbe essere molto meglio, forse come aggiungere frutta locale alla selezione (Abbiamo pagato 500k-750k per camera). Pottere i potratti dei proprietari nelle camere degli ospiti era un po' eerie 😅. Tuttavia, il servizio era eccezionalmente buono, il manager era super amichevole.
