For an impromptu two-nights mini break, we stayed at this resort. It is a lovely scenic property nestled on a hillock, very close to Dmart, Karjat. The check in was smooth and in a very short while, we were shown to our premium garden facing rooms, booked by us. That was when our great first impressions took a nosedive. The so-called garden facing rooms were not having any garden view to speak of and just had a muddy and dirty path in front of the rooms. We had to in fact hop and jump on a rustic path of tiles over the mud to reach our rooms. We then realised that the garden facing rooms were in the front and we were in the rooms behind them. We felt very let down. The rooms itself were very small and in a deplorable condition, the putty was falling from the walls, a musty smell all over, the bathroom stinky and hinges rusted. The bed has a reddish bed curtain type of thing surrounding the bed, which served no purpose whatsoever and in fact spoiled the décor. It merely added to the dusty smell in the room. I humbly request the management to dispose of those so-called curtains or at least wash them on a regular basis. We were extremely disappointed and contacted the reception for an immediate shift to a better, higher category. We were informed that they would only be available the next day. We somehow spent one night in those deplorable rooms and the next day we upgraded (paying a good amount) to the pool access rooms. What a drastic difference they were. For one, they were much bigger than the previous rooms, secondly, they had lawns on one side and a lovely meandering (their description) pool at the other end. There are about 14 such rooms who have access to the pool literally outside your door. At about 4 feet depth, even a non-swimmer could happily just jump in and enjoy the cool water. Surrounded by trees, these rooms were just the breather that we had been looking forward to. These rooms were very clean, airy and very well maintained unlike those so-called premium rooms. The property is quite small with hardly much area to look or roam around. Next to the main restaurant is a lawn having very scenic views of the surrounding landscapes and an infinity pool alongside. There is also a gym room and a games room. The games room is very congested with the kids play area, the table tennis table, chess board and the billiards table right next to each other. Luckily for us, the kids’ area was empty otherwise our table tennis balls would have landed on them very often. And while playing, we had to occasionally stop so that the billiard players could take their shots near our table. That should give you a fair idea of how congested the games room is. The breakfast was varied and very tasty. The in-room dining was also spot on and catered to our specific requests too. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the service was very good. Overall, a decent stay, mainly due the pool access room where we stayed for one night.
