Risus Beach Resort Hotel

I stayed at this hotel recently, and it was an absolute nightmare. The pool area was incredibly dangerous – the steps were broken with rusty nails sticking out, and I ended up cutting my foot open badly. I contacted Love Holidays with photos of the issues, including serious health and safety concerns, but they refused to change my hotel or offer a refund. The pool itself was filthy, and the entire hotel was poorly maintained. There were many other problems throughout the property that were unsafe and could potentially lead to even more serious accidents—one of which could have left babies at risk of drowning. This is NOT a place for families to stay, and I would highly advise against bringing children here. The games room was absolutely disgusting – so dusty you would need to wear a mask just to step inside, and it looked like birds could be forming nests from the ceiling. The condition was beyond unacceptable. To top it off, our balcony door was broken, and the front door was also faulty. The so-called "maintenance person" came with a spanner and simply bodged the wood to try and fix the door. This is certainly not a 5-star experience, and the lack of proper maintenance is shocking. The staff were rude, couldn’t speak English, and made it impossible to address the many issues. Despite showing Love Holidays the photos, they still seem intent on promoting this hotel, even with all the serious hazards. I will be seeking legal advice and support regardless, and I will never use Love Holidays again, as they’ve shown no care for customer safety or satisfaction. This hotel is a major health hazard. If you value your family’s safety, stay away. Absolutely disgusted with this experience.

⭐ 1 star (would give 0 if possible) My wife and I stayed at Risus Aqua Beach Resort from 20/06/2025 to 30/06/2025 for what was meant to be our honeymoon — and it was honestly the worst hotel experience we have ever had. This hotel is advertised as a 5-star resort but wouldn’t even qualify as 3 stars. Here are just some of the problems we faced: • Our room was never cleaned once in 10 days, even though we kept asking. • We were given one towel for the entire stay, which we had to share. No fresh towels, no beach towels — ever. • The food was completely inedible and actually made my wife sick for two days. We ended up eating out almost every day, which cost us a lot of extra money. • The only drinks available were beer and water — no soft drinks, cocktails, or anything else. • The room smelled disgusting; staff tried to hide it by putting urinal mats over the drains. • The room we were put in wasn’t the upgraded room we paid extra for — staff demanded even more money to move us into the correct one. • The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. • Staff were rude and dismissive, ignoring us and serving locals first at the bar. • TV didn’t work, smoke alarms were broken (a huge safety risk), and the lift was out of order most of the time. • Light fittings were hanging off the walls and ceiling. Both rooms we saw were filthy. • The air conditioning barely worked, making it almost impossible to sleep. • The paths around the hotel had broken decking, and my wife fell — staff didn’t even check if she was okay. • There was a constant foul smell in the reception area that made us feel sick. We booked this as our honeymoon, and it caused us nothing but stress, disappointment, and unexpected extra costs. The photos and descriptions on booking sites are completely misleading. Avoid this hotel at all costs — it is absolutely not what it claims to be, and it ruined what should have been a special time for us.

This was by far the dirtiest and most disgusting hotel experience we’ve ever had. We originally booked for a longer stay, but we only managed to survive two awful nights before booking a completely different hotel just to escape. That’s how bad it was. 🦠 The hygiene was non-existent — the room was filthy, the swimming pool looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, and the water from the taps came out completely yellow. We were so horrified we didn’t even dare wash our hands or face, let alone take a shower. We used mineral water to stay clean. Think about that for a second — we didn’t shower for two days in a beach resort. 🍽️ As for the food — it was revolting. Absolutely inedible. We didn’t touch a single thing after seeing the buffet once. We ate nothing at all at the hotel. It was that bad. 🖼️ The pictures online? Completely misleading. This hotel looks nothing like the photos. It’s as if you’ve been catfished by a building. ⚠️ Please believe this review. Don’t waste your money, time, or health here. Save yourself the disappointment and avoid Risus Beach Resort completely. No one deserves to go through what we experienced.

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in my life I’ve been everywhere, the place was stinking had to stand in the shower to open the door of the toilet to get out it was that small, knock down this hotel i say, the staff were lovely i feel for them not their fault. Demanded a transfer straight away so it took two days of misery but we got out eventually.
