Hotel Monti Spa & Wellness

I stayed in a hotel this month, and it was not my first time. The food was bad this time. Dinner in the restaurant was tasteless, but worst of all was the breakfast. Very poor, the donuts were a few days old, bread too. I was very disappointed, because the hotel is not cheap.

Very disappointed. It has great location and everything looks great but the service is beyond all expectations. The pool is almost unusable, water is cold and we didn't use it. Kids could not use it at all. Bathrobes and slippers were not in the room. Tomorrow morning, after a rooms service, towels were not in the room. We had to ask for all. Dinner was quite poor and quest who came bit later had to ask for refill. They even limited dining time one night to one hour only, because they had some party planned in the dining area. All toghether, very disappointing.

The service in the restaurant is terrible. You are simply unable to order food. The waiters are very unpleasant and sarcastic. And I have been here three times since 2021. Everytime is the same experience.

We stayed at Monti end of Feb 2023 and didn’t want to leave) hotel itself looks amazing, beautiful location, nice food. Only One evening (out of 7)at the dinner did left us disappointed because they had some VIPs (I believe) so we all been left out where we couldn't even get a drink for the first 30minutes. We did complain to the reception straight away and did get apology and the next morning was like nothing ever happened. Massive thanks to restaurant boy Amil 👏🏻 great service , he looked after us every time he’s been on his shift! It was pleasure to meet him and kids loved him. We had our own table set up for breakfast and dinner! He always smiles,always asking if we need anything and even offer omelets or something different for breakfast what is not on the buffet So if you not kin on food they serve just ask! You will get something else! My partner don’t eat chicken so he had different soup/meals with no chicken!!! We did not asked for the name of mini bus drive (unfortunately) who was keep taking us to ski resort and back(and even shop)!this men, no words! You are amazing) they even let us to check out without any extra cost later then we suppose to. It was pleasure to stay at the hotel and meet so many nice people. Defiantly would recommend and we will be back ❤️

Recently, I booked a hotel room in Hotel Monti Igman because I saw that it was a new hotel that opened up on one of the Olympic mountains. And let me tell you, I wasn’t dissapointed. Located in the center of the wonderful nature of mountain Igman and near the ski slopes, it is truly an amazing hotel. The room was beautiful, perfect for a mountain hotel, beds were comfortable and most importantly, it was super clean. The staff was wonderful and polite and their service was top tier. Besides that, I was interested in the food options they had and beverages,and it was truly an array of choices so you won’t be dissapointed and you will find something that you like. Best believe I will be coming back Hotel Monti Igman. Thank you for a wonderful time!

I’ll start by saying that as a family of 3 who normally ski in France, this trip was excellent value for money. Based on its modern decor, cleanliness, and spa, Hotel Monti is fairly rated 4*. However, there are many things that stop it from shining. Firstly, the restaurant service is appalling. It would be typical to have eaten before being offered a drink by the waiters. There was mixed levels of friendliness but on the whole it felt hostile and there was even an aggressive interaction that left me shaken. The waiting staff often served food to themselves from the buffet directly into their hands to consume immediately - it wasn’t necessarily an unsanitary fashion but just unprofessional. There is a hotel shuttle to the slips. One taking you at 9am and a return at 3.30pm. There are no taxis so you are restricted but the hotel shuttle service. Bjelasnica ski slopes are ideal for beginners/intermediate. We stayed half board but ate out at lunchtime each day. We also ventured into Sarajevo for one afternoon. Typically I think it would be fair to say the cost is about half of what you would pay in the UK. If organisation and service is important to you, then I’d seriously consider going elsewhere. Collecting skis from the hire shop each day was nothing short of chaos. This extends to the organisation of ski lessons also. Service in restaurants was slow and cold. We’re pretty relaxed and accepted that’s the way things are but we whitenesses the stress of the disorganisation ruin peoples holidays.
