We stayed at Aqua Dunhinda, and it was one of the most amazing experiences we've ever had! The hotel is nestled in the heart of breathtaking nature, surrounded by lush greenery and a serene atmosphere that feels like paradise. The room we received was spotless, tastefully designed, and incredibly inviting – and the best part: it offered a stunning view of the river. The staff was exceptionally kind, attentive to all our needs, always with a smile, and radiating genuine care. The hotel's kitchen was an experience in itself – the food was delicious, fresh, and every little detail was thoughtfully prepared. The pool and shared spaces were perfect for relaxation. If you’re looking for the perfect getaway to reconnect with nature and serenity – this is the place! We will definitely be back. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

This place is truly a hidden gem, and the staff is absolutely incredible! It should be on everyone’s list when visiting Sri Lanka. The owner is wonderful; she invited my friend and me for tea, picked us up in her SUV since our tuk-tuk couldn't make it up the hill due to an earlier accident, and welcomed us warmly despite our late check-in. She even called the staff in to prepare a delicious dinner for us, including an amazing spread of fried rice fit for a feast. The staff then helped drive our tuk-tuk up to the property and prepared an incredible breakfast for us the next morning. The service was exceptional, and the views from our room overlooking the water were breathtaking. I highly recommend staying here!

Had a wonderful time at this place and would highly recommend for family or friends getaway. The road is damaged due to a nearby construction site, so be careful if you are traveling in a car with low ground clearance . Google Maps navigation is accurate. Property is nice and well maintained. The villa had three rooms with double bed and one single bed, kitchen with all the equipment and utensils, large living area and a pool. If you bring the groceries the staff will prepare the meals for you. It is better to make those arrangements before visiting due to the remote location of the villa. Staff is nice and friendly.

The location was really charm and quiet, however the person who was in charge of the villa didn't provide us with proper information and wanted us to bring all the dry rations in order to prepare food. (from sugar, milk, pepper salt) etc. we had to carry everything with us which was a huge hazel. later we did get to know that they had an Al la carte menu, had they informed us about this prior to our arrival we wouldn't go through the trouble of carrying them all the way to Gampola from Colombo. We observed that they were trying to run the operation with very few staff and we had to ask for certain room amenities which are normally provided at any villa/hotel free of charge. apart from the above mentioned everything else was really good especially the location wise. My suggestion is they really need to improve a lot in their service standards . Personally i believe the location and the staff has a lot of potential to make everything perfect for the guests.
