We loved everything about this place. The location was perfect, in the hills with exceptional views but only a 10-15 minute tuk tuk ride from Kandy city. The food was exceptional, with breakfast served outside in the garden and dinner inside the old manor. The service is like no other. The best I have ever experienced. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very spacious with all the amenities. We loved spending time in the infinity pool with the most magnificent views over the hills including the most beautiful gardens and birds. However, what made this place so special were the staff. Everyone (especially Chula) were so warm, welcoming and had the biggest genuine smiles on their faces. Nothing was too much for them, including arranging drivers, day tours and delivering coconuts after us spotting locals climbing coconut trees. Chamilla the driver took us on an amazing tour which included the botanical gardens, gem factory, dance show and to a dosa place in the city (Balaji Dosai - highly recommend). We had the best time and couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Great location, very tranquil and historic. Felt like stepping back in time with period decorations. Great service from the team of staff who are very attentive. Food was very good, especially the Sri Lankan breakfast. The bird watching walk was a great way to explore the surroundings. Would love to return again.

Like traveling back in time to the colonial era! Beautiful, authentic bungalows in a dreamlike landscape in the hills above Kandy. Great service, delicious breakfast and spacious rooms in the old style. Beautiful garden with a nice, little infinity pool.

Staff truly wonderful and made this one of the stand out stays of our Sri Lanka visit. Yes the hotel shows signs of age but this is a heritage building, if you want new and pristine it’s not for you. The grounds and views are stunning. Cooking experience with the chef was great fun and would recommend.

A beautiful hotel tucked away with outstanding views. Unfortunately the pool was too cold to swim in and the accommodation was quite basic. Food was lovely and chef cooking experience thoroughly enjoyed during stay. Staff were attentive and polite always.

Very good hotel in a very quite area 8 km outside of Kandy. A place to relax, well kept garden, very clean pool and good restaurant. You feel at home immediately. The staff is very friendly, high quality rooms and very clean also. I had a very relaxing stay at this place and can recommend it to everyone
