Hotel in centro vicino a negozi e ristoranti. È possibile raggiungere a piedi in circa dieci minuti la funivia che porta all'Oeschinensee. L'hotel è dotato di piscina e dispone di parcheggio gratuito. La stanza dove abbiamo alloggiato era molto grande e confortevole con vista sul paese e sulle montagne, aveva un grosso letto matrimoniale e uno a castello suddivisi in due stanze, dispone di una grossa televisione, poltrona e macchinetta per prepararsi caffè è thè gratuitamente. La sala per la colazione è enorme e offre una colazione a buffet con prodotti vari (dolce e salato) e di qualità con una splendida vista sulle montagne. Il personale è disponibile e gentile e pronto ad offrire assistenza in caso di bisogno; al momento del checkout ci hanno regalato tre bottigliette di acqua. Consiglio vivamente questo hotel e se avrò la possibilità ritornerò sicuramente.

I had never heard of Kandersteg before and nor had anyone else that I spoke to about Switzerland but when I found this hotel on the Inghams website I decided to take a chance. I’m so glad I did! It is surrounded by mountains and just outside the small town and is both lovely, inside and out. We had two rooms, one ambience room for the children and we were upgraded to a suite, both rooms were spacious and very clean and had stunning views of the mountains. The inside pool was a big hit as was the snooker room and back from days out for tea and cake at 4pm a really nice little extra. Food was always going to be tricky as I’m the first to admit that I’m a bit fussy but the waiters were professional and friendly and always helpful with menu choices and swapping things around for us! Reception staff were very pleasant and picked us up and dropped us back to the train station when we arrived and departed. The only thing if I was being super picky would be the daily news, all written in German about the weather, things going on and menus for the evening. English guests seem to be the minority in the hotel which I am more than happy with but for when English guests are staying there, a copy in English would be really nice as we missed some of the important news for one of the evenings about a music night and then the waiters were surprised when we knew nothing about it! All in all a stunning location and perfect for day trips using the local buses, trains and cable cars

This hotel is a little further away from the train station than the other options, but it's still walkable. Like all the chalet style hotels in Kandersteg, Seiler's Vintage Hotel offers a Swiss environment and feel. (The walk to the gondola up to the lake is about 20 minutes.) The rooms in the front of the hotel offer beautiful views. Rooms in the back do not have balconies. The included breakfast is average (with no hot options). We had dinner at the hotel one night - very expensive. I recommend walking down the main street and checking our other hotels and restaurants for dinner. The rooms were comfortable. I would stay here again.

I would not hesitate to recommend this treasure of a hotel . This is our fifth visit and we have never been disappointed. I would definitely rate it five star in terms of location, food and service. Claudia and Gerhard Lehmann are the most generous and hospitable hosts you could wish for. So friendly and accommodating. The whole team are amazing and a special thanks to Claudia on the front desk who is incredibly helpful and kind. The views from our room and the accessibility to many wonderful walks and rail travel right from the hotel makes this a very special place indeed. We cannot wait to return for visit number six! ❤️
